As an American, I do not want dog food imported from China! I do not trust China with the health of our pets or ourselves. I feel they would love to see the U.S. fall.

Some has to be imported, when we are unable to grow it here. If we can grow it here, I think we need to support our farmers. There are fewer and fewer farmers in this country, and those that are left are working harder than ever, sometimes for less money than ever. If the day ever comes when the US relies on other countries for its food the way it relies on other countries for oil, we will be in BIG trouble. Hungry people will do just about anything to eat.

Also, consider that food safety is better in this country than in any other country in the world. Support local growers.

I do not care for imported foods. I think we would be better off if we could concentrate on becoming self sufficient before shipping off all our goods and importing from everywhere else. Al Gore once said that we could buy our food from outside of the country cheaper than we could raise it ourselves. That's why he wasn't big on agriculture. Why would anyone want to rely on a country to feed us that probably doesn't like us in the first place? Doesn't sound very safe to me.

Depends what type of food you're talking about. Fruits and Candy, I don't care. We don't grow fruit all year long. Meat, fish, chicken, pretty much anything that needs to be cooked, no! Another food I don't care about being imported is cheese.

For me it's a health concern. I could give a flying buck about politics.

Importing food makes us dependent on other countries and will leave us high and dry when we lose our agricultural infrastructure through attrition. Use it or lose it. USDA and Big Ag are setting us up for a disaster. Their only concern is the bottom line. They aren't thinking long term.

No...do not...in country can produce anything we need..when we start buying out of country we get food that is old, shipped long distance and contaminated....it is greedy buyers, (as in warehousing), that are the culprits and needs to be stopped..

This started with manufacturing in the seventy's and now we are stuck with junk..and machine operators working at low wages...in service industrys

I am too old, and too old-fashioned. For the most part, I do not want anything imported; only exceptions would be for things we do not produce at all, such as wicker or rattan.
No food imports at all, including from Mexico.

The employers would desire to discover new the thank you to make extra earnings. it is incorrect enable all of it trip on the backs of the backside paid workers. i do no longer blame illegals for coming here, even cheap hard artwork jobs will placed nutrients on the table yet there inlays the difficulty. we would desire to constantly be paying farm workers extra. Im confident that cracking down on illegals interior the pasture will stress farms to pay a extra useful wages to actual individuals. As on your propaganda, I fail to confirm your good judgment. we've not got a shortage of actual american workers. Many in a position bodied individuals have been residing on government stipends for generations. We as a human beings would desire to make a real hassle-free attempt in fixing this equipment. we would desire to get those leeches off of their couches and into the fields because of the fact something ought to be extra useful than being unfavourable and arranged for the government to save you. You earn your bread via the sweat of your brow. If provide up giving each and every thing away to the 20+ million leeches that wont get off their couches then they are going to arise and artwork. this might then stress the 20+ million leeches that we've already got that snuck decrease than the fence to vacate our lands. i think of the easy actual American is coming around to this concept. the load that unlawful immigration brings is starting to be extra advantageous than we are prepared to heave. We have already got our backside feeders, we dont prefer extra. on the different hand we can take all your electorate with 4 year levels, companys, or people who've a real vested pastimes in our usa. you could save the veggie pickers.,
