this was her question earlier. and i think you should tell your sister that you're not really enjoying that way she's been treating both you and your mom recently. although it sounds a bit childish. if i were you i'd just leave her alone and tell her to "grow up" and eventually, she will :)

good luck :)

Alright. I will elaborate on my answer a bit. I agree, no this is not "normal" sibling rivalry. This is much more. Your sister may be feeling a bit over-looked considering you have gotten probably more attention because of your medical problems. Feeling this way, she "may" have wandered her way into doing things that are bad for her. Have you set down and talked with her about it? Have you asked her why she is treating you this way? She may, or may not, tell you. But do let her know it is really bothering you because you want to have a good relationship with her and that you look up to her, being your big sister. If you think there "may" be a drug or alcohol problem with her, here are some warning signs to look for:

Physical: fatigue, repeated health complaints, red and glazed eyes, and a lasting cough.
Emotional: personality change, sudden mood changes, irritability, irresponsible behavior, low self-esteem, poor judgment, depression, and a general lack of interest.
Family: starting arguments, breaking rules, or withdrawing from the family.
Social problems: new friends who are less interested in standard home and other normal activities, problems with the law, and changes to less conventional styles in dress and music.
Some of the warning signs listed above can also be signs of other problems. Your parents may want to consult a physician. So definitely talk with your parents too.

Nothing will change unless you all communicate and get to the bottom of why she is doing what she is doing. I really hope you all can get to the bottom of this. I know it must be painful to deal with. Good luck. If you want to talk more about it contact me thru my profile page and email me.

Firstly, it might be worthwhile finding out what it is that changed for your sister in the last 2-4 months that resulted in such a dramatic change in attitude. She may be having problems in her life, and is taking them out on you and your mother. If she gets help, things may improve.
If your sister refuses help, and persists in bulling both yourself and your mother, your mother is entitled to ask her to leave the home. She is already an adult, and should be able to look after herself. Maybe just the ultimatium will be enough to get her to change her attitude. If its not, your mother may have to follow through with the threat and get her to leave.
Everyone has the right to feel safe in their own home.

Looks like it didn't work. Ask what you want again - maybe you can get other people's opinion - much better ones than what you had. (I didn't read the answers - but your paragraph kind of told me already that you are not satisfied with what answers you had.)
