Why do some people never seem to say "thank you'?

I don't just mean the words, I mean the gratitude when they are helped by someone else.

Hey, I've come to the realization that I am one of those people, thank you very much.
Honestly, I do find myself not saying thank you enough and I'll take this opportunity to say thank you for reminding me.
I didn't know that some people are uncomfortable about it.

Thank you for this question. Actually, I feel uncomfortable when people say thank you beacause usually I'm not expecting anything in return. It is nice to hear sometimes, though, if you really work your tail off for something.

Some people think the world owes them something, when this rock has already sustained the pestilence of man to the tipping point and owes us nothing short of doom.

I run into people like that all the time. In my opinion they lack manners.. When I do come across people like that I always say "Thank you" hoping they catch my drift. Most times they do

What irritates me more is that I teach my children manners and they always say thank you or no thank you. I bothers me when the person doesn't return the respect and say "your welcome".

It's hard to teach respect, when they aren't given any.

lots of people today never say that.... I use those words quite a bit if someone helps me....

"please" is another word I try using when I can.. :)

it bugs me when people don't use it, but you get use to it. That is our society today.
