Ever since I've been concentraiting on dating I have realized having strange feelings about potentail partners and women I know, namely concerning sexuality. Some of my upbringing affects it in that my mom was religious (LDS aka. Morman) and some exposure to that church. Yet I have always believed in other people to have the right to express their sexuality anyway they want. But when I enter the equaision my reaction to liberated sexuality is far diferent. But also I wonder if some of my feelings might go back much farther--genetics. My niece has several parrots and one of the males is in heat and doesn't like other males, including humans, to be around him. I wonder then if some of my jealousy towards other guys and the feeling that these guys are violating or soiling the women around me may be more an instinct. This said I must add that I'm completely inexperienced with women and have no comparable sexual history.

Your jealousy is probably a result of your own insecurities rather than being biological in origin. Work on your self-esteem and you will start to notice that you feel less threatened by other males.

Talk to a counselor...

If you are unreasonably jealous, then you have serious self-esteem issues. You need to get some counseling, before you start any serious relationships, otherwise, you are going to either ruin any relationship, or aim directly for women who enjoy abuse.

I think if humans were susceptible to genetic responses of possessiveness, then it would likely apply to all people. I'm leaning more toward cultural programming.

Hmmm.

Well, pardner.... You'll need that experience you don't have yet, so get it; and, don't forget to avoid getting an STD along with your new understanding of self-assurance and self worth.
