All branches have an MOS for a Meteorologist. I am not sure what the technical name for it is but you can contact your local recruiter office. Try any branch but the Army because they stayed deployed in Iraq the longest. I got out last year and I wish I would have joined any branch but the Army.

Air force is by far the best I'd say. I'm a hawk pilot in the army and I get my weather briefings from af weather guys. They have the best equipment and have the best life style out of any military branch. Not to mention only 6 month long deployments.

if you want straight weather guessing, then go Air Force. Navy is leaning away from meteorology and moving more into oceanography. the plan is eventually for the AF to handle all Meteorology functions of the military

NAVY
Great pay! My g-son is bangin' down 65k a year and every time a mouse farts, he gets an allotment check.

He's not even an officer. Just a lifer.

He's getting paid more to do the job he has, in there, than he would in the private sector and he doesn't have to put up with psychotic attitude we have in the private sector.

Best part. When Bush "decides" he's not leaving the whitehouse, my g-son will get to keep his weapons, which is more than Bush will let us civilians do.

properly, it surely relies upon my pal.. I recommend there is many how you will get outta the group existence, attempt shifting (in case you could) get a reliable job, in case you could.. the single element the army ought to get you is outta there, perhaps get you slightly disipline if ya want some, perhaps get you into college if this is an interest of yours (seem into the GI bill they have..) additionally you need to outlive base, fairly no longer paying something (to my wisdom) and get a month-to-month examine of direction, probable an enlistment bonus or some thing.. wish this helps, i understand the different element besides the army is vauge yet idk you so, purely the final suggestion i ought to furnish.. wish it facilitates..

Doesn't matter what you want to be

They'll tell you what you want to hear

then you'll be the only meteorologist gunning down women and children in Iraq for president corporation

ask my cousin Jason

they promised him all of the educational opportunities he asked for

then he wound up guarding those poor bastards in GITMO, seeing and doing **** a human being should not see or do

The recruiters forgot to tell Jason that they were pathological liars who trick unsuspecting kids into killing & dying for a monster named Bush
