I have this dream several times a night,I dream my father who is passed away is calling to me asking for help just floating there in the air.In the background U hear my mom telling me to ignore him.Please help.

I believe we are all the people and symbols in our dreams.
To understand this, think of what part of yourself your dad symbolizes to you, and what aspect of yourself your mom represents to you. Those are the two parts of yourself in conflict.
So if your dad was adventurous and your mom is cautious, you're being called in your present circumstances to choose between an adventure and caution.
They represent both sides of the conflict you are now in. When you resolve the conflict, you will resolve the dream.
If in real life your mom and dad were at odds with each other and put you in the middle, it might be helpful to forgive them for that. It might make it easier to see the actual conflict in your present life if you put that conflict of the past to rest.
In what way do you feel caught in the middle presently? That's what your dream is really about.

Did your parents argue a lot when your father was living?
This dream may have been a flashback to one of those arguments. You were probably just thinking about your father and the way he may have been in distress before he passed away, if you saw him when he was very sick and that was not your fault. It has no other meaning. Be certain not to ignore your mother. She is the parent who may need your help now.

wow, this sounds too much like my past experience. However no one truly will be able to answer the question to the fullest because it is your dream. I was told when this happened to me that we are given a second chance to make mends with a situation that took place between us and that love one. What I see in your dream that you are trying to correct something that took place with your dad and is somewhat reluctant in doing so. When you hear your moms voice, I assume she is still alive, this is your dads way of informing you that you need to correct an issue that you have with your mother at this time before its too late. Once you have corrected the issue with your mother, I am sure your next dream with your dad will be different.

Is this dream happening around a certain time? like his birthday or your parents anniversary? maybe hes on your mind more than usual. Is their something going on in your life that you may want or need his advise about? it could be so many things. try asking him right before you go to sleep. when you tired and laying in the dark. just ask. you may get an answer.

Yeah, dead people do not talk to you from the grave, despite all the myths told. Demons, come and imitate people's dead loved ones inorder to keep people from healing. The voice of your mom represents the voice of reason. She is giving you the right advice. Even the bible talks about dead people go to the grave and they are heard from no more.
