All the other countries are worthy of blessing to! It there was a god, I don't think he plays favorites. Kinda defeats the purpose. Don'tcha think?

Those who think God should be thanked will thank Him. What the 4th of July celebrates is the date the former British colonies formally declared their independence from British rule. Those who framed and signed the Declaration of Independence invoked God in doing so, and we,their descendants, would certainly not be out of line in thanking Him for our continued independence today.

I'm not American, and do not live in the US. This day has no significance to me. I have to go to work like any other day that day. There are no fireworks in the park that night.
But to those who do celebrate, Happy Independence Day!

Personally I'll be thanking all the people who put their blood, sweat, and tears into the country instead of a entity that certainly would not care about a country if it exists.
