We are united in Jesus through the church which is his body. Paul said in 1 Cor 12:27; "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."

Right now, there is no link, with all the different religions and those so-called zealots running around slandering others for their own personal beliefs - somehow I don't think that constitutes spiritual happiness, let alone a bond with your chosen deity.
I personally believe that anyone who fights over which religion is right hasn't a clue about their own origins, since all religious questions I have seen lately prove stupidity more than knowledge. If anyone is going to defend their religion, at least back up the claim instead of resorting to attacking other people's beliefs.

I may be taking a different slant to this question other than the one you intend.
Mankind was united in Jesus in the sense that Jesus died for all of our sins. It is our choice whether or not we access what He did by belief in Him.
But if we look at this question in terms of believers, we know that we are made one with Christ through His atoning death. Ephesians 1:10.
It makes me think of mathematics. Let's say R/S represents Christ. He was righteousness (R) made sin (S) for us. Then let's say S/R represents us. We were sinners (S) made righteous (R). II Corinthians 5:21 Now let's multiply those. R/S x S/R=1 We, through Christ's work are made one in Him because of who He is and what He became for us.

The Trinity is unholy because it is untrue. A while back on Yahoo, someone even quoted a Catholic source verifying this.
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time: the only begotten Son who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
I Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
I Peter 3: 22 . . . Jesus Christ. 22Who is on the right hand of God, swallowing down death, that we might be made heirs of life everlasting: being gone into heaven, the angels and powers and virtues being made subject to him.
I Corinthians 8:6 Yet to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Isaiah 42:8 I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise unto graven images. (ASV)

1) In the very fact that Jesus, God the Son, "became flesh" and shared our human nature.
2) We are buried with Him in Baptism, sharing in His death so that we can rise together with Him in the Power of His Resurrection.
3) In the Holy Eucharist, the Most Holy Sacrament of His Own Body and Blood.

The communion between God and His people finds its definitive fulfillment in Jesus Christ, the Bridegroom who loves and gives Himself as the Savior of humanity, uniting it to Himself as His body.
He reveals the original truth of marriage, the truth of the "beginning," and, freeing man from his hardness of heart, He makes man capable of realizing this truth in its entirety.

There is no trinity. It is a man-made falsehood that is based on the Catholic Athanasain Creed, not on the Bible.
