Or do I have to say it to God as well? If so what is the best way to go about saying it? I'm having a problem putting it in words. I tried saying it but it came out wrong. I don't feel that I said it right. Does it matter if I say it out loud to God or is it enough that I have accepted Christ in my heart and mind? I realize that at times I'm not good with words.

Yes, to the first Q. No to the second. And you dont have to worry about the way or the words. He asks for it verbally in the bible, but i really dont think he cares. And you don't have to worry he already knows. rhi

This is how you accept Christ- If you confessed to God that you are a sinner, in need of a Savior- and confessed and repented of your sins- and asked Christ to be your Lord and Savior you are saved. If you truly have accepted Christ, the words that you think came out wrong didn't - God understands your heart. Email me if you want to talk more.

Yes, I believe it is. It doesn't matter how good you are with words, God doesn't care if you go to church, he doesn't even care if you pray every day. He won't judge you. That's all man-made. You don't even have ot say anything. That you've accept Jesus into your heart is enough. Jesus will of course want you to love his father, but that will come in time, when you're ready to. God is willing to wait. But people are the ones who the pressure on to say that you have to do this or do that to be saved. You simply have to believe. That's all.

God bless.

It's really not as big of a deal as it sounds like you're making it...the Bible is very clear..If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was crucified on the cross for your sins and was raised on the thrid day and now sits at the right hand of God the Father...You ARE saved. If you're having trouble with the words simply say the above and believe it in your heart and welcome to the family =) Get into a good Bible based church (if you have a Word church nearby they are usually very good),and read the book of John to start. Also remember that God is now your Heavenly Daddy God and you can talk to Him the same way that you talk to your dad or your kids talk to you. Just talk to Him!!! I talk to God all the time, when I'm driving I'll just say things like, Thank you God for this beautiful day, or God I'm really struggling with this or that please help me, or God thanks for keeping me safe from the accident that just happened right in front of me. ANYTHING at all just talk to Him!! Oh yeah, then sometimes it's good to just listen =)

No. Accepting Christ means doing his commandments. To do this shows our faith. You can believe and do nothing, but it will not save you.
Salvation is through grace. You cannot earn this. It is the free gift of our Lord that we "abide in his love" -John 15:10.

Receiving Christ means that you know you are a sinner in the sight of a holy God. It means that you aknowledge that Christ died for your sins, rose again, and that His grace alone is the source of your salvation. It means that you confess your sins and have placed Christ in the "drivers seat" in your life. You want Him to be Lord of your life.

God knows your heart, it doesn't matter what words you use. Confess your sins and thank him for his gift of salvation. Ask Him to take control of your life. Ask him to make you the kind of person He wants you to be.

First question:
Do you have to accept Jesus out loud? Yes:
(Rom 10:9 KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
If you believe in Your heart then Your desire will be to know Him more, as you learn of Him through the word of God, Your actions will start changing.
Father, I believe that Jesus died on the cross and arose from the dead to pay for my sins. I confess that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. Forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Lead me and guide me through all my life. I receive You into my heart as lord and Savior, and thank You for Your love. In Jesus name, Amen.

I think what you said is enough to be saved. But if you really do accept Christ as you said, then you need to consider getting baptized(lol, i'm not baptized, I'm trying to get baptized, but yet i'm saying this).

P.S. If you're allready baptized, then you are ready for the Lord's coming!!!

P.S.S. I'm a christian
