What is your definition of the word Tolerant? As a Christian I hopefully show forth the love and grace of God to all people- however- we are not called to be tolerant of sin, or something that is blatantly wrong- If I saw someone stab someone, and if I was tolerant, I would just walk on by and do nothing to help the person=- because I would not want the attacker to hate me. That is ridiculous I know= but that happens every day with non-Christians. They think that we should be tolerant of sin- if I was tolerant of sin, I would be lost too- I had to realize that sin is something that needed to be dealt with in me. Granted God is the ultimate judge, I agree with that- however that does not mean , I should allow wrong to continue if there is something I can do to change it to good. Even those who are unbelievers are not tolerant- how do I know this? because of questions like this- why can't you be tolerant of people who do not like sin to abound- What I am trying to say is God's grace is sufficient to cover every sin. I am loving towards those who do wrong, but I do not agree with everything they do, anymore that I should agree with every decision that I make either.

First tolerance isn't the same as relativism (the idea that what you believe is true for you and what i think is true for me). To say that two ideas that contradict each other about what is true are both equally valid is offensive to both people. If you said what i believed was fine for me but wasn't for you i would feel like you are treating me like a child.
As a christian I think it is important to allow all people to use the free will God gave us. If i were to force someone to believe what i do i think I would be going against Gods will. That isn't to say that I wont or shouldn't try to convince others of what Jesus is and said. If it is true then to not tell people of the truth would be evil and selfish.
So yes I am tolerant of peoples views but because of what i believe I cant let people, in all good conscience, make an uninformed decision. I let them express their beliefs with out treating them like a child by saying that we can both be right about apposing points.

I am intolerant of people who preach tolerance as a virtue. You should look up the definition of "tolerate". It basically means to grudgingly accept. It has been twisted by the left to mean non-critical acceptance. Because we must legally accept people who are different, does not mean we must welcome them warmly, or agree not to criticize them.
I'm not a Christian, but I don't have to be to recognize this truth--the only group it is allowed to criticize is white Christians (preferably male). To criticize another other group is either homophobic or racist--intolerant. This has led to a destruction of values.
I tolerate others, but do not sacrifice my principles to do so.

Tolerance, a creator of monsters and needy victims, like minority groups, we have tolerated the American Indian for years and look what it has cost society today, yes I am a catholic Christian and I only tolerate intelligent people not stupidity that our society has become.

I'm extremely tolerant. I am very ecumenically minded, and have friends from all religions.
The only area where I am NOT tolerant? When non-Christian cults try to pass themselves off as orthodox Christians. THAT drives me NUTS!!!

I am a christian and I am very tolerant. I believe that IF anyone is evil and going to hell (probably not) that is for God to jugde. I think it is my job to try to bring a little heaven down to earth for anyone I meet.

I'm not tolerant, I'm open-minded. There is a huge difference
tolerance is ignoring what you believe is wrong
open-mindedness is understanding, being reasonable, respecting, and realizing they could be right and you are wrong, and vice versa
