The heart is covered by this three subtle elements: mind, intelligence and false ego. Lust takes over of this elements and the heart become polluted. Until we purify from the desire of enjoy this material world and develop pure love for God, our heart is untrusted worthy.

Back in the day, they thought that the brain was where intellect was and the heart was where emotions were. Now we know the heart is a muscle that just pumps blood through the body. More proof that the bible is NOT a book of science.

i think it is referring to the emotions that heart can produce. They are bound to change. A part that you are quoting encourages you to be sober from them and not fall....On the other hand, it is strange that it should want to prevent you from it, as though that would be like some kind of a secret that somebody woudn't want you to discover...
