heat will open your pores, cold will close them. Best time to do it would be in the shower. Let the hot water run over your face, get a good cleanser with exfoliator (removes dead skin cells) like St. Ive's Medicated Apricot scrub. Wash face and neck with that. Rinse and then splash cold water on your face. You can't close your pores forever. But, having smaller pores gives your face a smoother look. Blackheads are pores that have a buildup in them of dirt and oil. The only way to keep on top of them is to have a daily routine for cleansing your face. Anytime you sweat it's gonna give you some blackheads, but if you take care of your skin with proper cleansing, there will be far less and your skin will look better. Another good thing to do, put your face over steaming water with a towel draped over your head to keep the steam in. That will open your pores really well - you can actually feel it happen. If you take egg whites (just the whites) and beat them til they are fluffy and then put them on your face with the pores open, it will draw out the impurities. Let it stay on till it gets crusty. Then rinse it off. This will help a lot!

Well lets see to open the pores you'd need hot water, and since your a guy... I would recommend getting the water as hot as you can stand it and get a wash cloth wet and lay it on your face until it cools, then use a good face wash, I recommend Neutrogena acne products, wash thoroughly then use cold water to rinse. The cold water will close your pores back up.
Not much you can do about the sweat on your forhead thing except to keep a cloth or tissue handy to dab the sweat away with.
Regular twice daily washings using Neutrogena products will help your skin, guaranteed.

Steam & heat open pores wider. Cold water & some facial masks help tighten them temporarily.
Pores do not shut or close. They do get clogged w/ old skin cells & sebum. Blackheads are pores that have old sebum that has oxidized & is trapped because of old skin cells over the pore.
The way to prevent blackheads is by exfoliation. Exfoliation can be done physically w/ a scrub or chemically by applying a solution that helps clear away surface debris.
Steam facials help loosen whatever is clogging the pores & make it easier for products to work.
Neutrogena products are very good. I recommend using their Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask as a mask once a week. It has clay which absorbs excess oil & benzoyl peroxide which helps fight bacteria and keep pores clean. Their other anti-acne product lines work well too.
No need to minimize sweat. The key is to wash your face at least twice a day and use a scrub or toner to exfoliate.
Some home remedies for blackheads:
Add a bit of water to 2-3 tblsp. of baking soda to make a paste & use it as face scrub. Use gentle pressure.
Mixture for exfoliating face wash: 6 crushed uncoated aspirins, mixed with the liquid facial cleanser at hand (I usually use either cetaphil or tersaseptic), and 1-2 drops of tea tree oil.
You can crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask. Alternatives: mix half a teaspoon of crushed uncoated aspirin tablets with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask or aloe vera gel to use as a mask.
Use about 6 uncoated tablets, witch hazel, tee trea oil, and aloe to make a thin paste to use as a mask.
For toner:
8 ounce bottle of distilled water add four crushed, uncoated aspirin
or
mix of 1/2 water, 1/2 witch hazel, 15 crushed, uncoated aspirin, and 2 drops of tea tree essential oil and 2 drops of rosemary essential oil

Hot water opens pores. Try steaming your face. Get a bowl with boiling hot water and cover your head with a towel to keep the steam in. This will open the pores and get all the toxins out. Then wash your face with a mild soap and rinse with cold water

a blend of two issues, they're clogged, and genetics. some human beings purely have larger pores. there are various diverse treatments on the industry that help with lowering the size of your pores, yet you won't be able to combat genetics, if that's what you're dealing with. in the event that they're clogged (ie: blackheads) you need to use those biore strips to help pull out the blackheads, and there are diverse deep pore cleansing products available. be certain you keep your face exfoliated, use a scrub no greater desirable than 2-thrice a week. be certain you in addition to could use a toner that is proper to your epidermis form. the difficulty with the biore strips is that yeah, they unclog the pore, yet once you have larger pores first of all, you're left with a small hollow (that gets clogged returned). purely be certain you keep your epidermis healthful.

To close them!
There is really no permanent remedy for open pores. Toner tightens pores temporarily, so make it a point to apply toner regularly, after cleansing. Also, wash your face with cold water. Apply foundation to hide open pores. Use a good quality foundation with sunscreen. Foundation is actually beneficial for the skin, because it acts like a protective layer between your face and the elements. This is the best way that you can conceal open pores. Wash off the foundation as soon as you reach home with face wash, and follow up with toner. Clean and Clear is a good face wash for oily skin. Also, open pores on your nose may mean that you have a tendency to develop blackheads. If this is the case, get your blackheads removed reguarly with the help of blackhead removal strips. Using a face scrub on your nose daily helps prevent the formation of blackheads.
To open them!
Tomato juice to which a few drops of lime juice has been added. Apply on open pores for 20 minutes. Wash with cold water.
The juice or pulp of Pineapple and Peaches and Papaya are very good. Always wash your face with cold water after steaming. In humid weather wash the face 2-3 times with cold water. If you have powdered orange peel, use this in place of soap.

Visit a "LUSH" store and purchase two products there for yourself. I swear thay are miracle makers. 1. Angels on bare skin and 2. Fresh Pharmacy.
I have been using these two products for two years now and the improvement in my skin tone is incredible. I don't get blocked pores anymore at all and my skin is silky smooth and fresh always. I even brush my teeth with the Angels on bare skin once or twice a week and my teeth are shiny clean.
Their products are fresh, natural and contain only the very best ingredients.......They are a must for both females and male.
I also use the "BIG" shampoo and the "American Cream" hair condition. My hair shines, has magnificent volume and my hair smells like a dream. Since using the shampoo and conditioner, my scalp condition has improved and the itch that I experienced has totally disappeared...........It's "LUSH" for me always!!!!
