I found this quote online somewhere. Because most older men are more mature, caring, gentlemanly, intelligent, responsible, reserved, etc.

well i find Tonya's answer interesting as it was actually written by a male. It was written in 1546 initially as a rhyming verse "I'd rather be an old man's darling than a young man's warling" (the word warling means a slave taken in battle). the proverb in the question was republished in 1847 with the word slave which made more sense to readers.

The Schmalkaldic War stared in 1546, so i would say that the proverb is talking about how older men were not enlisted but the younger one's were. women were able to stay at home with their "old darlings" rather than be a slave to the young men.

The person who wrote the quote wants a sugar daddy (an older man who will take care of them financially), not a younger man who needs someone to help take care of him.

Another thing about old men is they tend to sleep a lot, so young women have a lot more free time.

Don't bet on the "intelligent" part, though.

What do I think?

I think AMEN SISTER!!!!

I go for older men over younger men every time, they really know how to treat a lady properly.

I think you should hang out with your own generation. Makes me wonder what kind of father (no doubt absent) this speaker had during her childhood.
