The second 2 are also booster shots -- for pap virus. The cat can be spayed after 6 months old.

A cat can be spayed or neutered at 6 months. As for shots the first series are the main series. The second series is the booster series. Then shots should be done once a year.

Cats can be spayed as early as 3 months. I had mine spayed/neutered at 3 months. Just remember, the girl cats get their first period around 6 months old, so plan accordingly.

Just like human babies need a series of vaccines to build up immunity to disease, it's the same for kittens and puppies. As the mothers natural protection starts to wear off, they must get a series of vaccines, usually 3 or 4, to build up immunity to common pet diseases. Until they receive their entire series (last one usually around 4 months old) they are not fully protected and shouldn't be exposed to strange places or other pets.

A cat can be spaed at 2 lbs, but some vets prefer to wait til 3lbs.
