hair styles for straight, thick, brunette hair.?

i want some ideas..i can't do anything with my hair! all i can do is leave it down or put it in a pony tail..it won't hold a curl unless i use like a whole can of hair spray...help!

Make a pony tail. Section it in 3 or 4 parts. Curl each section w/ a hot roller or curling iron & pin each curl under to create a different kind of bun.

You can even use velcro rollers if you have enough time. This style should work for you since you use bobby pins to hold up the curl.

Loosely braid hair & twirl it into a loose, messy bun.

Upgrade a pony tail by concealing the elastic w/ a section of hair twisted around it & secure the section w/ a bobby pin. Or you can wear the pony tail low & add a thin head band.

I have the same problem! my hair is long, thick &stick straight. It pulls the curl out if I curl it. The only thing that works for me is extra small hot rollers w/big sexy volume spray. The first 30 minutes it looks like shirly temple but then it looks perfect all day. Good Luck.
