A body composition analysis measures your body fat, muscle mass, and other body components. It is perfectly safe. Often it is done in water or with a low voltage electric currents (since different body substances have different electrical resistance). It can also be done using body fat calipers that measure how thick your skin folds are in various locations on your body. If it is done by a reputable clinic or sports center a body composition analysis can give reliable information. However, there are a few scams out there that use inaccurate or misleading readings to sell you expensive detox pills and other products that don't really do anything.
