If you are sure you just aren't eating too much at one time then you should see a nutritionist who specializes in diabetics. It may be that what you are eating is incorrect for your blood type or circadian rhythm and also interacting with your diabetes. I recently learned that some people can have similar symptoms if they have a previously unknown food allergy or food sensitivity. Good luck!

Yes. Being diabetic will contribute to changes in your energy level after eating. You may not be administering your insulin correctly. Too much or not enough will cause a loss of energy.

If your insulin doses are correct, then it's your diet. Stay away from anything white...white flour, white bread, white sugar, white potatoes (remember home fries are made from potatoes). This will help you control the fluctuations in your blood sugar levels.

If you can take a supplement, I have a few that have been shown to help maintain blood sugar levels:

Level 90 - http://www.marketamerica.com/pulse99/index.cfm?action=shopping.uoProduct&storeID=8&prodID=13170

Besides taking your insulin, controling the types of foods you eat will help what you eat

advice fr livemore good.also foods like white flour,or bleached flours are bad for saccharine disease, might be one food you eat late pm that is a trigger for am fatigue, maybe legume,a protein souce like chicken.beef,,,,,,fatigue is something that docs cannot pin down because theres no corroborating test except the patient's saying that eliminating this or that helped a lot,the diabetes has to be treated by doctor,,,,,,excess sugar in blood can be serious

Maybe you should eat before going to sleep..maybe when you wake up your number is too low. It could be what you are eating also...eat some fruit, grain, or vegetables. Maybe you are taking in too many Carbs. See your doc to find out for sure. Good Luck Honey!
