Fuses blow only because the electric demand exceeds the circuit's rated capacity.

Look for shorts in the wiring or a bad motor. Make sure the blower can spin freely as this can foul things up.

I presume it is the blower motor because most compressors are belt driven.

The compressor is belt driven, but has a magnetic clutch to engage it. If it is that fuse that is blowing, dis-connect the wiring connector from the a/c clutch and see if the fuse continues to blow. If it doesn't, then the field coil has shorted on the compressor clutch assy. If it still blows, look for a grounded wire on the engine or frame.

You probably have a wire that's rubbed a hole in its coating and is touching metal.
