No, you are not a strange Christian.
Remembering what a Christian is and comparing it to what you say here, you are not a Christian at all.

By being disobedient by not reading His Word or praying to Him any missionary work you do will be worthless.
How can you expect God to use you if you will not even take the time to get to know Him?
What can He do with you? Anything.
What will He do with you? Nothing.
Bad language? That's covered in James Chapter 3. That's in The Bible, towards the back. After Hebrews.
Starting smoking? Bad, dumb, stupid, idiotic, moronic idea. Smoking is the slowest form of suicide.
Your life would be better spent as a politician or a used cars salesman, both lowlife professions.
Without God you are wasting your life.

Are you strange? No, I don't think so. Your symptoms are normal for Christians that live according to their flesh and it's desires. Your answer is actually in the Bible, too bad you don't want to read it. LOL. (Romans 7:15 - Romans 8:18)
You have a real easy fix. Just get close to Him and let Him love you. Drop all your walls and just talk to Him. It's from spending time in His presence that all these symptoms change.
What could God do with you? There is no limit!
Be encouraged I think you are right you will be a missionary and you are just in the "process".

You are like alot of other Christians, believing in God, but not wanting to do what a Christian should do. Why don't you read the Bible or pray, and if you don't want to rebel, why do you? Ask yourself these questions, and ask God to help you with the answers, and with doing what is right.

You may have some of the same problems that I do.
I've been a Christian for 25+ years, and I have no intention of giving up on God. Yet lately--actually, for a couple of years now--I haven't done much Bible reading. My prayers are spontaneous, but I don't have long "quiet times" with God, except occasionally. I do say Good Morning and Good Night to God every day. I attend church regularly.
I know I'm angry about the Bush administration and Christians' part in putting that administration in place. I'm sick of "Southern-friend Christianity" and of thoughtless, mindless liberal-bashing.
Thankfully, my church cares about the poor, and is open to the arts. My pastor invites the people to develop contemplative relationships with God and to gain knowledge of oneself.
God is greater than you or I. If you let him, he will walk you through your questions. He loves you no matter what. I'm trusting that God will see me through all this. I think he'll do the same for you. He made you a unique individual; don't try to be a "cookie-cutter Christian".
What can God do with you? Wonderful things!

I highly recommend you read several biographies of famous Christians. Read the bio of John Newton. Read the book of Acts and pay attention to how awful Paul was before God tapped him to serve. We are all sinners in need of grace.
Truthfully, if you want to be used by God, they you'll need to do your homework, and that includes reading the Bible on a daily basis. If you want to be a missionary, but don't read the Bible, then what are you going to say to others?

You are a double minded believer.
The cure for that is to discipline yourself and begin making a habit of pursuing God. Prayer and Bible study are the twin pillars of that.
Ask God to heal you of your lethargy. You will never be a missionary if you aren't going to take God seriously.
You are a carnal Christian. Turn to God, ask him to change your heart from one of rebellion to one of devotion.
The reason you do what you do is because you don't really believe God has rewards for you seeking him. Yet he promises that he does. Maybe you should start believing his promises and renounce your belief in lies.
If you don't, you will quickly slide into greater carnality and sin.

Such is the case of all Christians -- people who are exposed to deceptions and false doctrines, mingled with truth! As a result, your heart is half-way in, but without the means available to you to FEEL your way, you wander in the mists of darkness that prevent you from seeing the truth that would burn the rememberance of Christ in your heart.
It a matter of finding the correct resources. Anybody can say "Lo! Here! I am the Lord's." But not all can prove it.
These resources are available today. And they are found among the Latter-day Saints.
There is no other organization in existence today that can teach (and can LIVE) the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that provides the resources and authority for you to KNOW which side of the line you should be on - to make certain your choice. Everybody else are simply kidding themselves. Any honest and thorough investigation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ will show you that the Christians do not have enough resources to resist the legions of wickedness that bombard the Lord's sheep.
You need priesthood administration, you need the Gift of the Holy Ghost, you need living Prophets and Apostles, you need to perform the ordinances of the Gospel for yourself, you need the protection and security found only among the Saints.
And until you get these things, you will be just like any Christian, standing in jeopardy of being "tossed to and fro, like the waves of the sea." Just like Peter taught Timothy about the last days of the world.
So what can God do with you? He can send you the Mormon Missionaries to teach you these things, and then it is up to you.

Hey-you are like every other human being on earth...all of us are made to seek a higher power. God cares about your desires to seek him, and He says he will show you the truth if you seek. "knock and the door will be opened!" You are battling with your flesh! Everyone does! In Christ there is no condemnation, and Christ desires to have a relationship with you! There is no special prayer or crazy ritual you have to do, just ask for forgiveness and ask him to help you know what to do. The best thing to do is find a group of strong believers who can help disciple you and begin to understand what the Bible has to say. I struggle with reading the bible too, but sometimes it just helps to know that its God's love letter to me. He cares about you and all of us! We all mess up, and we all need forgiveness. Accepting Christ doesn't make you perfect, but it does offer you forgiveness.

dont worry if u believe in God and u are trying to look for him then its ok to be confused..... Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship the same God and u just have to feel comfortable with the belief of the religion you choose. God will take u to heaven if u are a good human and live ur life by good morals and ethics so dont worry about which one just go with the one that u are the most comfortable with, let God himself guide u by searching yourself
P.S dont smoke its bad for your health and it makes u age twice as fast

God can do alot with you...if you'll seek His face & obey His word.....the flesh doesnt want to do anything regarding getting closer to God ie;reading God's word, praying....We each have to do that on our own & it starts by making a decision to do so...God Bless!
***maybe you could start by receiving Christ & following Him....then you might be considered going in the direction of being a Christian!
