...do you really take a drink? Or do you just type "drink"? If you just type it, what's the point of "participating" in a Drinking Game, if you're not actually going to participate and drink??

I'm just asking, 'cause I don't believe the majority of you people actually drink when you TYPE "Drink". Maybe I'm wrong. Am I?

Hi SAME!

I don't even like alcohol so it's just a mind game for me. Mostly people are at work and that when the questions come up so I doubt they're really drinking. It's all in fun. Perhaps some of us do take a sip here and there, but for the most part drinking questions are nothing more then questions repeated so many times they become annoying (i.e. If men came from monkeys, why are there still monkeys? Obviously, no one is saying that men came from chimps, but from a common ancestor). So when this question is asked it becomes a drinking question, and often utilized jokingly just as an excuse to take a drink. I can't speak for everyone but I rarely sip anything (water, tea) if it isn't already in front of me. It's just something to take away from the tension here on R&S.

Dear FSM, I'd be dead if I really drank every time I answered that way! Except for weekends, it's usually ice water I have. And even during the weekends, I have never once actually taken a drink because of a question. It's just a silly, pretend game :)

I generally am drinking a protein shake when the questions come along, so yes, I'm really taking a drink... why not?

I drink. But, when it is early, I drink tea.

It is evening on July 3, hit me with some "why are atheist in the R&S, Pascal's Wager, prove god doesn't exist" yadda yadda yadda

Oddly worded question. Yes, it's confusing to me, the whole 'drink' thing.

when i type the word drink it' in "type-versation" just as i type the word drive or walk or sleep -- doesn't mean i'm doing it at that exact moment.

are you sure you posted this question in the right section?
