Hi another answer from me , I was raised prodestant and do very much believe in god but now im very much leaning baptist because the prodestant way I was raised all but says one little sin before you die without forgiveness will send you to hell, scares me to death because I am far from perfect, I do however care a great deal about being a kind person to everyone spite there shortcomings , and try to do right as much as I can.

I was raised to be fundamentalist Christian, and not even the kind that loves. I left to become agnostic for one reason only: no evidence that God exists. As I thought about things more, I came to understand how these Gods/gods are really manmade, especially upon my discovery of contradictions.

So I am now open to the idea that non-"traditional" (Western) God/gods can exist, just not those based so much on human understanding. This is, as I see it, the most logical approach in theory; in practice, I am essentially an atheist, since this uncertainty also means that God could still be an infinite number of other ideas. I refuse to choose to believe something out of CONVENIENCE... so I shall live my life as I see fit.

Since I was raised a Baptist, and I am now an atheist (with a 5 year lay over in paganland), no I don't practice the same religion of my youth.

I was born and raised Seventh Day Adventist. I now practice Catholicism. Reason being, my husband wanted our boys raised Catholic {his religion}. I decided to go through the classes as well, be baptized and confirmed along with my son's so that I would know exactly what they were being taught. It turned out to be a wonderful and moving experience. I wouldn't go back or change.

Yes, I do. However, I've spent many years researching other religions, reading their literature, and attending their services. I still definitely enjoy studying other beliefs, but have not yet found any other religion that moves in the same way as the Catholic Church that I was raised in. I am Roman Catholic both by birth and by choice.

No. I was raised in a Christian home, and am now Pagan. I chose different because I finally realized that I never really believed in Christianity- I'd always had trouble believing in it. I realized that I'd always been Pagan, though I didn't know of the religion at the time, as that's what beliefs I held.

Kind of. I was raised in a Christian home, but started doubting it when I was about six. I became a "Christian" when I was seven (due to a hellfire and brimstone sermon), and put on a good show for a few years, until I was thirteen...and I just got tired of it. That's when I became an atheist.

I just became a Christian eight months ago, TRULY, the first time in my life. So technically, though I was raised in a Christian home, I did not keep the lack of religion I had most of my life.

Yes, but only after studying all the other main religions. I was raised and then later chose this religion.

Yes and no..If you ask another Jehovas Witness they will say no but I peronaly still believe in the majority of there teachings, I am a gay man and dont believe in the doctrine regarding this as i believe it goes against gods principles but apparently I cant choose what aspects I believe so I am a christian with my own beliefs, but I still have a great love of Jehovah.

I was raised in a Christian home, so to that point the answer is yes. I was raised Catholic and am now Baptist, but my belief system in Christianity is the same. I left Catholicism due to conficts with my son's ablity to participate in their activities for youth. He has Down Syndrome and our local church was not excepting, he now has a church home he adores.
