Most people who say they are atheists actually hate (or fear) God.

We don't fight against him, he doesn't exist.
What makes us atheists frustrated with you lot is the fact that you accept, without a shred of evidence, what you are taught (by man, ironically).
You seem unwilling, or unable to question, to study or simply to read anything that may broaden your mind or at least make you think. It's easy to knock science if you don't understand it.
If, after making some sort of effort, you still believe in your gods then so be it. We would at least have a little more respect.
Above all, your approach is lazy and it makes you seem extremely gullible and ill-educated. Or, of course, brainwashed.

It wouldn't matter what others believe except that those beliefs divide the people of the world and the religious are always trying to force others to live life according the those religious beliefs.

Well it seems only fair since so many are fighting to put that particular deity in secular law.. if I wanted to live under 2000 yr old archaic book I'd still be in that belief.

there is no god to fight against, however there are very real people who try to force the god concept down my throat, thse are the people that i fight

it would not matter, if christians would stop trying to impose their hatreds and predjudices on others. atheists do not battle against mythological beings, they battle against the disturbed humans who take actions based on psychotic delusions.
