You'd be surprised.
I know I was when I asked a question like this. Honestly the amount of "satan put dinosaur bones in the ground to fool you" answers were simply staggering.
As my dad used to say; "you can lead an idiot to knowledge, but you can't make him think".
And he was SO right.

Cuneiform writing was the beginning of history about 3500BC and other early human technological achievements like Agriculture dates to about 5000-9500BC depending on the credibility of the source.
This implies man has only been around for the last 10,000 years based on modern understanding of civilization development and the earliest advancements in technology typically occurring about 500 years after the formation of a civilization of people.
Since scientific observation reasons that a creature like man with his wisdom and understanding is not supported by evidence to come about from natural means this implies that man was first created in the last 10,000 years.

A friend of mine is an airline pilot (first officer). When flying over the Grand Canyon his captain pointed to it and said, "Can you believe some people think that was formed over thousands of years? It could only have been formed during Noah's flood."
What can you say to that?
And, no I will not tell you what airline it is. :-)

Maybe it's ten thousand years to whoever's up there, and a gazillion to us...
Or, quoting my favorite graphic novel, whatever you wanna call it: "...maybe years only make sene if humans are there to count them." - The Rabbi's Cat.
You can't take everything so literally... If people wanna believe the earth is whatever age they want, let them live their ignorance. It won't do you no harm.

About half the population of the USA, actually. They take their cues from Moronicus, the least respected of the ancient Greek philosophers.

Only brain-dead fundamentalists--but fortunately they are being weeded out--exposed to reality--& isolating themselves into a "flat earth" kind of diminishing club.
