I have a Zebra Finch (bird) with a dark brown beek is it a female or male?

It is probably too young to tell. Only very young zebra finches have all dark beaks. The adults have orange-red beaks. Zebras are easily sexed by the adult plumage which will start to appear around the same time as the beak is starting to change colour. Males have large orange patches on their cheeks and "zebra" striping on their neck and chest.

Young zebras finches have black-brown beaks This goes when they are about 5-6 weeks
In adult finches :
Red beaks for males and orange cheeks and lines on chest and a black band on lower part of chest.
Females are a plain color no markings and have a orange-peach beak.
