I have a lot of questions about chritianity. I definetly believe in God but I am not sure wether or not I believe in Jesus. Why do you believe in him? Do you believe the bible is 100% true? I have a hard time believing that because it was written by people. Also, say I do believe in Jesus. How can I be sure that I am going to heaven? Im so scared of going to hell I gave myself a panic attack today. I just know that I dont want to go to hell. Any experiances or encouragement from other christians would be grately appreciated.

Jesus is God in the flesh , Matthew 1:23 , John 1:14 , Timothy 3:16 .That was the only way the believers sins could be paid for by the blood of a perfect , sinless , holy God . The bible was authored by God as he moved 40 believers to write the 66 books. 2 Peter 1:21 " For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man : but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost ". If you do not hear the word of God , then you have no chance in going to heaven with out faith , Romans 10:17 " So then faith commeth by hearing ,hearing by the word of God ". Start reading a King James version bible , begin in the new testament and... GO to a bible believing church

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Proverbs 9:10 I had the same problem you did for a while - believed in God, but not Jesus. I thought the story of Jesus was just a legend. But Jesus was seen up walking around by more than 500 people a few days after he died on the cross and was buried (1 Corinthians 15:6). Remember also that all his disciples were willing to be martyred (I think one died of natural causes). They gave up their entire lives to preach the gospel because they believed it so strongly. People don't lightly give up their lives. People will tell you that the Bible is fiction but why is that 4 guys -- Matthew, Mark, Luke and John told almost exactly the same story? I don't believe that everything in the Bible is to be taken literally. Daniel and John and others seeing visions were describing things as they would have been described 2000+ years ago. A lot of Biblical prophesies have been fulfilled - Jesus being born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) for one. Read Isaiah 53. l John 5:12, 13 says "He that hath the Son hath life. He that hath not the Son hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that ye may know that ye have eternal life and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God". You can KNOW you have eternal life. I'll pray for you. Just ask Jesus to come into your life and forgive your sins and help you to live for Him. A lot of people do get saved because of fear. It's nothing to be ashamed of - it's the beginning of wisdom.

I believe in Jesus for many reasons. First, history confirms that there was a man named Jesus around at the same time as recorded by the gospels who died at the same time recorded by the gospels. Almost everyone admits that He existed, the arguement is over what to classify Him as. There are a few different "labels" put on Him. It's best described by CS Lewis in this quote;

"I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God. That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic — on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg — or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronising nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to." (Lewis 1952, pp. 43)

I do believe the Bible is 100% true. I struggled with that about a year ago, but then i realized something, yes it was written by men, but it was written by like over 50 different men, spaning like 1000s of years. And over all that time when you look at it, there isn't any discrepency. On the surface it may appear there is, but when you dig in and actually digest what it says, it's consistent through and through.

If you have accepted Jesus to be who He says he is, your God, then you know you are going to heaven because of this; "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. for, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:9-10,13

I hope this helps. sorry it was so long. <><

Yes, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. While He was here on Earth 2,000 years ago, He performed several miracles that still have been unexplained by science and that were witnessed by thousands of people, as well as recorded in secular records of the time. The OT has over 250 prophecies that point very specifically to Christ as the Messiah that the Jews were expecting. The chances of a single person in history fulfilling only 8 of those prophecies by chance is outside of the realm of scientific possibility.
The Bible isn't just easily dismissed as being "just written by people". It is a collection of 66 books written by 45 different authors, most of whom never even met each other, in 3 languages, over a period of 1500 years; these men came from diverse backgrounds and income levels, from shepherds to kings, lawyers, fishermen and doctors. And yet the Bible is one complete, cohesive unit. No part of the Bible contradicts any other part, but they all complement each other. In fact, encoded writings in one book can be decoded by another book written 1500 years earlier. The Bible is unique in these traits, and it shows obvious signs of a Divine Editor. Modern science is showing more and more that the events of the Bible are true and accurate. There is no logical reason to reject the Bible on scientific, historic, prophetic or moral grounds.
If you truly believe in Christ, and you have asked Him to come into your heart and change you forever (He will), then the next step is to join a Bible-believing church and get baptized as a public sign that you have accepted Christ. I only tell you this because this is the example we have been shown in the NT. Everyone who was ever converted in the NT were baptized by immersion in water, except for the thieves on the cross, who were physically incapable of doing so. They took Christ's baptism. Baptism symbolizes the washing away of your old life, and being risen in new life as a Christian. After being baptized, you must put away your old life, and follow Christ, obeying God's Laws. If you should stumble along the way, just pray for forgiveness of that sin and continue on. You can know by faith that your sins are forgiven, and that you will not go to Hell. Christ has made a promise to us, and we can hold fast to that promise.

Have you ever really thought of how silly this heaven and hell stuff really is? Can't you visualize Heaven? There you are, sitting on a puffy cloud, and jesus comes by and pats you on the head... and, there he is, in a flowing robe holding onto the tail of the devil --- the guy in the red suit with the horns. Then you stand up, and some of the people you really hate are there too!!! Now what. Do you have to be nice to them.. Isn't this just illogical? Describe heaven. Is this close?

And what did you ever do to burn forever? See? You got brain washed, hon.

Aint no heaven, aint no hell. Religion is man made to scare the socks off of kids like you.

Before I cam to Jesus I use to be so scared to ride in cars. I knew if I were in an accident and died I would go to hell, but no one could tell me how to get to heaven. I was confused. I met one lady that was happy and I asked her why she was so happy. She was poor and I was rich and miserable. She said it was Jesus, gave me goosebumps. I prayed the sinners pray, asked Jesus to come into my heart and boom, that was it. I was saved. Didn't feel a thing, but everyday I changed. Did not take long and I knew that something was different and I came to believe that I was born-again. Just ask Jesus to come into your heart, forgive your sins and then watch Him do a wonderful work. God Bless You

God is Jesus' son. Jesus was crucified on the cross for all of our sins. He was the ultimate sacrifice. His shed blood has turned my sins from red (blood) to white as snow, because I believe that. I know I'm a sinner. I know Jesus died a HORRIBLE death on the cross for our sins. Jesus rose on the 3rd day from the tomb and He's alive and well in heaven!!! If you trust and believe that, then pray/talk to God. You don't have to get 'your act together' before you do so. We are ALL sinners and we ALL deserve hell, but because of God's mercy and Jesus' death, we may enter into the kingdom of heaven IF we truly believe with our hearts. He's just waiting for you to pray to Him, (to open the door) and ask Him into your heart. He'll come in and you'll feel joy like never before. It doesn't mean your life will be hunky dory cause it won't be as long as we're on earth. We are still sinners too, but we just try to be more like God and live a life he wants us to. Just pour your heart out to Him and I promise He'll hear you!

calm down. Yes what the Bible says is true. It is the inherited word of God written from prophets. There is one way towards heaven and that is Jesus Christ. All you have to do (and you need to mean it and understand it) is say a simple prayer saying
"Lord God, please forgive me of my sins I can no longer live my life without you. I accept that Jesus is my savior and I invite you into my life and heart Jesus. I want you to take control of my life."
if you pray that prayer that will be the best thing you do. THen you can get baptized at a Christian church (not a religious Church...a non-demoniational church, because religion is man-made) if you live near Miami Florida or in Texas you can get baptized at Fellowship Church otherwise find another Christian Church.

---Jesus is God, SO if you believe in God you also believe in Jesus!

---i do believe the bible is true and it wasn't written by men it was Written by God. God told the men exactly what to write.

---One Way you can know the bible is true is this: The WHOLE bible was written BEFORE everything in it happened!! the possibility of predicting all those events is like filling all of texas with blue poker chips 4 feet high and placing two red poker chips somewhere in the mix and picking out a red chip!!!!! GOD "PREDICTED" EVERYTHING IN THE BIBLE but he knew it was happening BEFORE it happened!! THE Bible is true- 100%.

--IF you did believe in God and read the bible you would know the steps to being saved

(repenting, asking him into your heart, being baptized in his name)

and once you have done these then you are saved and you should have no doubts!! sometimes I think i might not be saved and I doubt myself. If that happens I pray and tell God I want to be saved and I pray I am. GOd is a God of mercy and if you do what the bible says and truley believe in him he will save you!

```I enjoy your questions and PLEASE, if you have any other talk to me!!! my email is footballrah@yahoo.com
GOD BLESS
No one is ever sure if they go to heaven or not, only God can decide that for you. If you believe in God, I strongly (very) suggest you to believe in Jesus because God is "three parts", the Holy Spirit, the mind and Jesus (who is the person who does the things). I believe in Jesus because he saved my sins and he is savior to all the humans in this entire world, whether you do or don't believe in him. I believe the bible is 110% true. Pray to God and ask for Jesus to enter your heart, believe in them truely, love , honor and fear god and ask for him to wash away your sins to make you the light and salt of the world. He loves you so much that you can not imagine anything. Go to church, a bible study group where people will encourage you and help you. Jesus loves you. He saved you from sin - a sacrifice from God, his only son died for you. May God be with you.
