Ya, Baby!
Those who love the Lord, Hate evil.
But, be careful not to condemn as enemies those whom God is making friends.
ALL we like sheep have gone astray.

Because of the very nature of love vs. hate, it is physically impossible to love and hate a single object at the same time. You can love a person but hate what they do, but those are two different objects. If you love one thing, you must automatically hate its opposite, as in the examples cited above.

I notice it doesn't hurt me to hate an idea or action. I don't do it then. If I hate a person, like jealousy, it eats you up emotionally. Green with envy is another. I guess because of the way the mind works. If you envious of another you become envious of yourself because your a person too. It's kind of an auto-immune reaction of the mind. It's only a humble calculator. If you have to kill someone you'd better not mess up or you will be your next victim. Look at all the murderers who eventually kill themselves. It's not an accident. What goes around, comes around, as the old street saying goes.

I don't believe in hatred in the name of Christianity. I see in the Gospels many examples of love, but not anything from Christ urging me toward hatred, regardless of how righteous or justified someone else feels that hatred might be. As a Christian, I do fight against social injustice, but I do not feel that it is justified to claim that I "hate" the oppressors. Promoting Christian peace does not include hating others as part of its operational procedures.

Ridiculous notion. Hate is active resistence. Jesus says not to resist evil in that manner. Hate ALWAYS inspires more hate. Evil feeds on itself and the hate used to resist it.

I think that is obvious. Love for one by default means hate for what seeks to take away or harm that which we love.

There's a fine line between love and hate...
I think your God has erased that line...
