Yes, Father K we have education in history here, I just don't have much knowledge about theology in the US, hence the question.

Yes. They're called Episcopalians (the American equivalent of the C of E, and in communion with the C of E). And all of them I know celebrate Independence Day. There are also other American Anglicans who are not in communion with the Episcopal Church, in addition to Anglo-Catholics.

If they are Americans, they are either called members of the Episcopal Church, or one of the Continuing Anglican Jurisdictions. There is no C. of E. in America.

You might remember that little skirmish across the pond in 1776?
