I have seen An Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore.
Im really liking everyone's ideas. And I appreciate everyone's support. I just feel the need to do more for others, and using my passion for the environment to help teach the people of the future generations is an inspiring thing for me.
More ideas are welcome and listened too! Its helping me a lot!
And to the girl who cant drive yet....you can still help out! Try organizing awareness at your own school by putting up posters, or talking to your principal about bringing in recycling or such. :)

Challenge the school to reduce their lunch trash by 1/2 for a week. Get a local company to sponsor a nice prize to award if they meet the goal. Along the same lines, give certificates for a free drink or snack at a local eatery for every student who brings a no-waste lunch.
An organic community garden
Land steward participation at a local park
Field trips to local parks
Art and photography contests
Think outside the box, get an interested teacher to oversee the program, and develop fun ways to educate. Good luck.

that's a great idea! first see these two movies: An Inconvenient Truth and A Crude Awakening, they're about global warming and running out of oil. read books and stuff about the environment too. write letters to the governor and president and people like that about global warming, and when you go to public schools, have a paper typed out beforehand. have the paper first explain what global warming and environmental awareness is, then tell them how they can help. try having pretty much the same paper for all the schools, but change it a tad to apply to really young kids, and college kids, so they understand better. i really hope you do that, i'd like to do that but i just stick to writing letters for now, i'm pretty young. . . i can't drive lol. but that is a great idea, goooood luck!!

First you need to educate yourself about the topic. Kids are going to have a lot of questions. And I am sure you will need to talk with the school principal about coming into the school. Perhaps you could attend a parents or volunteer meeting to get some feed back about your idea. Think you will find that most school do a lot of recycling.

try going to your local school board and pitching your ideas, if that is not working, try, boy and girl scout troops, boys and girls clubs of America. Try to organize a clean up of your local streets or canals. I live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and about 20 years ago someone came up with a day to clean the canals of garbage. 1 day volunteers, it went over so well it has been done every year since and went from a handful of volunteers to 1000s

aConsidering you folks have made this your new god and religion with al gore as the high priest, I hope you fail at this endeavor, on the grounds that it is state sponsored religion, which as we have been told for 30 years is illegal. You can claim that it is not a religion, but we all know the way you people put trees and the like above everything else. Would not be surprised if you do not have a Asian garden with a Budda temple in your yard.

Why bother? All "awareness" results in is a bunch of useless sloganeering at best and idiotic fads at worse. Like "one square of toilet tissue per poop".
If you really want to put your passions to work you could tell your Congresshuman that you will run against them in the next election if they continue to accept donations from companies with operations in polluting countries like China and India and if they continue to sit on their hands while Indonesia and Brazil level the rain forests in favor of biofuel croplands.

Well im crazy about penguins and one day i decided that they need their own holiday. So on march 10th i went into the computer lab and quickly created flyers announcing the day. It has stuck for the last three years. Kids wear black and white and we all wish eachother happy penguin day!!! Sou you could try to create your own...or just remember that there is Earth Day.

May be you can start introducing your idea to the parents in your neighborhood, then have them support you to do what you wish. Schools always listen to the parents.
You are doing a beautiful thing.
God bless
