Yes, there is a 4th of July in all parts of the world that use the conventional calendar. And not all Christians celebrate the 4th of July..... only American Christians.

Speaking of things that went missing though, what ever happened to the 13th floor of hotels?

Hey Spirit Princess, you didn't do very well in American History DID YOU? Independence day in America is to celebrate our independence from the ENGLISH, not the French---however...as was already mentioned, EVERY COUNTRY in the world has a 4th of July, it's just only the USA celebrates it as Independence Day...Oh and it doesn't really matter if you are Christian, Athiest, Agnostic, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu whatever---if you are AMERICAN, you celebrate the 4th of July!!!! (especially if you have the day OFF from work)....

Yes, they have a "4th of July", they just don't have an "Independence Day". The 4th of July for them is no different than the 5th of July.

Is there anything in Scripture that says that a Christian cannot celebrate the foundation of his country that God gave him?

Yes, after July 3, but only the United States celebrates it as a holiday, Independence Day.

Why would Britain celebrate 4th of July? If anything, they should be flying their flags at half-mast -- after all, they lost what has become the most powerful country in the world.. a title they once had.

And I have no idea what Christianity has to do with it!

The fourth of July celebrates our declaration of independence from Britain.

Britian has never been anyone's colony as such. So they don't need an independence day celebration.

Christians celebrate the fourth of July because they are members of society, appreciate the freedom of religion that they experience, and care about their country.

They do not have a "Fourth of July." They have an Independance Day. July 4th is our day of independance, and of course theirs is different. Christians believe they are not going against their religion because they are not celebreting a kingdom, they are celebrating thier country...their nation.

Yes. In Britain, the fourth of July falls right between the third of July and the fifth of July. They do not, however, celebrate it as Independence Day. They mark it as "the day we got our butts whooped by a bunck of hillbillies, marking the beginning of the end for our empire."

Of course Britain has a fourth of July. They just don't celebrate it.

Everyone in the UK is just so devasted by the loss of the American colonies that we stay in bed all day. To facilitate this, we start drinking as soon as feasible on the 3rd.

Of course we have a 4 July. The calendar isn't metric.
