So I made contact with Today's Prophet - you know, that guy who always says religion is nonsense, make a direct, personal connection with your Creator through unconditional love to be happy and so on - to ask him how he felt this could be accomplished, just out of curiosity. I told him that it was spam if he couldn't back it up, since he gives the same answer to every question... and here's his response (note his unconditional love):
Subject: When did God die and leave you in charge?
find out Yourself:
[insert his typical message]
until You Create Your Relationship with Our Creator, You wouldn't comprehend and understand where I'm coming from, moreth
Create Your Relationship, moreth
what kind of name is moreth ???
is that the opposite of lessth ???
lmao @ You, moreth or lessth !!!
Don't you have anything better to do with your time
how about:
Create Your Relationship
let's see how intelligent You are, moreth !?!?!?
Later he told me to not e-mail him anymore.
Thoughts?

A Theist: Because he seems to have some notion of a Creator, and that we should do certain things to connect with it to produce certain results.
Dr. G: Excellent.

TEK: I like the unconditional love part, though I question whether it's really possible. I wasn't trying to pick a fight... I honestly wanted to see what his methods were. I kind of assumed there was more to what he said and that he couldn't post that much all the time, but I was wrong.
And even if there were a Creator who led to or was found through unconditional love, he certainly didn't show me any in his response.

Do you think he's like that in person?
ME: So how's work?
Prophet: until You Create Your Relationship with Our Creator ...
ME: How's the family?
Prophet: until You Create Your Relationship with Our Creator ...
ME: What do you like to do in your spare time?
Prophet: until You Create Your Relationship with Our Creator ...
He probably needs a friend, or a good Christian woman who can cook.
Just my thoughts.

Dear Friend,
The world is full of sick people that need healing (here you may think I sound like a broken record - I am). They do not know who they are. They are sick. However, those of us who say we are not sick cannot abandon our brother who is sick, or we would be reinforcing his sickness and our own. When we are attacked, if we attack back, we are saying, "Yes, who you think you are and who you think I am is true." Could it be that Jesus went to the cross not to die for our sins, but to show us that we could not be hurt? That these ideas of who we think we are are not real? That we are not these bodies? Could it be that he wanted to prove to us that we are not these identities (most of us identify ourselves with the body)? So, they did all kinds of things to 'him' (Jesus), but he did not retaliate, because he knew they could never really hurt who he really was. So, my advise (not that you need it) is to do nothing.
Now to answer your question about connecting to God. There are many methods that can bring us peace: meditation (Centerpointe has a cool meditation program. I have been doing it a few years), Sedona Method, A Course In Miracles (excellent). However, Eckhart Tolle, author of "The Power of Now," has said, "Without looking at or moving your hand, how do you know you have a right hand?" Try it. How do you know?
We get this feeling from it. That feeling is life - you, your life force energy. The trick is to maintain the awareness of your hands while doing other stuff. This practice helps to calm your mind.
Anyway, sorry for babbling. sending love,

Moreth, I suspect that his responses reveal a weak and frail character who is trying to hold on to his faith.
That does not make the message of the Gospel less significant.
There are many sick people in hospitals and some are hard to distinguish from the docs and nurses at times.
But, were you looking for a fight? I don't know. He gave you one. Sorry to hear.
There's thousands of us who are "clothed and in our right minds" in the Christian church for every one like that.
Don't let him keep you from finding Christ.

You are extremely dissatisfied with religion , but do wonder ,restlessly , about "God". Is it there? what is it ? If yes, what does it want? How can I know it? why all this suffering in the world?( I use" it ", because an entity does not have a gender).
You are in search of spiritual answers, an humble person, and knocked at the wrong door. That guy is ignorant, and you gave him the gift of your attention that he OBVIOUSLY did not deserve. I applaud you for doing what you are doing , keep searching my friend, maybe one day the right door will be opened to you.
Good luck in your journey.

I find him unbelievably rude and ignorant. There are ways to answer questions without being a two year old and name calling and such... He reminds me of an automaton, always repeating the same thing.

Personally, I just ignore him totally - his answers make little sense and never apply to the question asked. He is seeking attention. Plain and simple.
Don't feed him and he will go bother someone else.

Why would you even WANT to contact him? He's clearly loopy.
Without proper education and discernment - how can you be so sure that which you aspire to contact is indeed God?
It could be any old spirit. His idea of "religion" is occultism.

Sure. She also wants to commit actions that are UNCONSTITUTIONAL in office. She also has NO idea what the actual Constitutional job of a VP is. Shes dumber than a bag of retarded rocks. Anyone who sees her as fit for office is also that dumb.

I just assumed from the content of his canned response that he was a nut job of some sort. Thanks for taking the time to confirm that for all of us!
