I am not trying to push sh*t, ok? But the presence of people who believe that Christianity is totally wrong on R&S leads me to think that (a) Y'all just want to torment stupid, misled people, or (B) there really is an issue here that you'd like to explore, somehow.
I do not have all the answers---am as franked up as anyone. but I have studied the Bible exhaustively, studied languages, have a degree in Journalism, and I think I understand a lot of what the Bible is saying---do not believe the Bible to be infallable. But many of the metaphors, much of the imagery, many of the parables and messages are remarkably relevent to 21'st century life.
I am interested in corresponding with polite people with honest questions and doubts. I have plenty of my own. There is plenty that I don't know. I am NOT fundy, I do NOT believe that anyone without faith will go to Hell---(and can prove it Biblically) and I firmly believe, and can prove with the Bible, that one need not be a Christian. bye y'all

You aren't the problem then. It is the people who push superstition on others that is.

This kind of forum isn't really conducive to a "discussion". But what the hell (sorry for the pun). I'm an agnostic. What's your definition of God?
My belief (or reasoning) is thus:
If there is a God that created the heavens, we don't even have the imagination to come up with a measurement of it's vastness (nor the minutia that comprises it). If we lack the ability to even describe God's creations, how are we to understand the existence of God itself?
Therefore, claiming to know God's will is complete hubris.
We call God Him even though to ascribe a sex to God would be ludicrous. We do this because in our tiny ape-like brains, we either can't conceive of a being that can create without procreation or we are so conceited that we think we are actually cast in "His" likeness.
I guess my argument could be summed up as "We can't know" but goes a bit deeper than that. Anyway, that's the short-form.

Wow, what a protracted ramble. Ever heard of paragraphs? And of incredibly numbering your questions so as? carry on and that i'll attempt to handle your questions... a million. i'm an Ex-Christian, so sure I even have heard all of it in the previous. I even have studied the bible and specific in the process the time i replaced right into a Christian i in my view did have faith. 2. No i do no longer ask your god for something. i do no longer have faith in him. 3. i'm no longer sorry. 4. Nope, sorry i do no longer % to be a Christian. I have not have been given any desire to have "it". 5. No i do no longer see that throughout any respect, I see a e book of mythology. I see a e book which has a ways too many historic inaccuracies to incredibly be taken actually. I see all this prophecy UNfulfilled. achieveable of a god does not equivalent achieveable of YOUR god; your deity is impossible given which you define him as all-powerful. 6. I no longer study the bible, why could I? 7. No, i do no longer desire any salvation. and that i does not worship your god in any case, he's malevolent.

Wow, I think that's the first time I've heard a Christian say that. Kudos! I do not have any questions, at the moment, but thank you for the offer. If I ever need a Biblical ques. answered I'll know where to look.
Bright Blessings.

where in the bible does it say "one need not be christian" and where does it say that non-christian's can get into heaven? Sorry but you say you can prove all this but dont actually do it.
I don't want to torment you and would listen to your arguments if you actually wrote them down and didn't just write about them. My only wish is that you look at yourself and the world carefully and think very hard about whether the bible can be true and whether Christianity is for you.

You have a markedly more liberal view of things than many participants in this forum. My own purpose here is neither to torment believers, nor to raise issues: I have no sympathy for the former, nor need for the latter. My purpose is to educate: to teach people how to think, and to encourage them to do so. If you properly analyze the evidence, you will conclude that there is no reason to believe in any sort of religion, and it is a complete waste of time and effort to do so.

Okay, how about sharing the scriptures that anyone without faith will NOT go to hell.
Eatonwrite, I have enjoyed what you have starred (it comes up on my profile) and I do think you have some valid points here.
As a Christian, I enjoy talking to people of all faiths. For the purposes of this forum, we have a right to disagree and you all tend to make me think!!

So then I can get a "Get Out of Hell Free" card? Excellent!
I'm very interested to learn what biblical evidence you have that non-Christians and those without faith need not go to Hell...

Actually I just wait around to answer questions directed at me, usually pertaining to paganism or Taoism. I'm here, that doesn't mean I'm here for anything relating to Chritianity. I'm here for people who ask questions to which I may have answers.
