I would like to find one on the web. If you are interested in joining one or know of one please let me know. Have tried VA they only have help groups for the Vets. No family or friend groups. I guess alot of family and friends give up, it's not easy to deal with but I think anyone who would go through that for me deserves whatever help I can give. If your family had Mental Health problems would you just desert them, the Vets didn't desert us or they wouldn't have this problem. If you are involved with someone with PTSD please let me know how you cope or if you have anything optimistic to say. Thanks for caring and thanks to all Vietnam Vets.

I am a vet but not a Vietnam vet but I know a lot of them, some with PTSD. My suggestion is to get in touch with the following veterans organizations, and their auxiliaries, in your area.

Amvets; www.amvets.org
Disabled American Veterans; www. dav.org
Veterans of Foreign Wars; www.vfw.org
American Legion; www.legion.org

These may know of a local support group or an on-line group. Vietnam vets are getting "up there" in age so there might not be as many as in past years.

Good luck, good health, peace and love!

Edit: Just type in "Vietnam veterans support groups" into yahoo! search and a number of informative links comes up many with indexes of family support worldwide.
