what the heck do u do if they have all moved away, changed their #'s Etc??????????????? The recent employer is the only one still there, the others were things like baby sitting, and they are moved etc...

They definately call the most recent employer. Depending on what and how much they had to say about your work ethics and character is if they call others.

It depends on the kind of job and the diligence of the manager. For hourly/minimum wage type jobs, reliability and trustworthiness are as important as any skills you might have. Try to find personal references who can provide that kind of insight to your character.

Rarely do manangers contact any references especially when its an application position as opposed to resume position.

Geez over here they do a background check, check your credit history and criminal record.
