permanent Bridge problem?

Question

Just had a permanent bridge put in right side of my mouth and its' hard for me to chew. My left side doesn't touch and when i start chewing on either side my bridge teeth starts grinding. I'm curious what will the dentist do to solve this problem. I spend about 3200 on this bridge and its been trouble ever since.

Another question is if the dentist has to remake my bridge do i have to pay for it again?

I remember answering your previous post about your loose temporary bridge.. If I remember right, you went for a while without the temporary bridge because it got loose and fell off, right?

When that happens, your bridge abutment teeth probably started rising out of their sockets, which is most likely why the permanent bridge turned out to have a heavier bite than it was supposed to be.

Go back to your dentist to have the permanent bridge adjusted. He needs to grind some spots off that permanent bridge until your bite feels right. The adjustments is included in the procedure and should not cost you extra.

If your teeth shifted so much that the bridge couldn't be grinded down enough without damaging it, the dentist has to remake the bridge for you.

You need to go back and have him adjust the bite. You are putting all of your pressure on that side first and that will make your teeth very sore. Dentist's normally give you a warranty on crowns or bridges. The one that I worked for would give our patients a 5 year warranty. You should ask your dentist about that.

Sounds like the bridge is throwing your bite off. Strange the dentist didn't pick up on this when he tried the bridge in and then when he cemented it in. Sounds like some grinding of the bridge needs to be done and soon. Worst case the bridge will have to be redone...at no cost to you.
