How do you mean? I would say that they (internet rantings) are absolutely valid. They express someone's beliefs and opinions and therefore have merit. When you talk about "truthful" do you mean factual? People's opinions are not always based in fact and meanings of events are often open to interpretation. I can tell you that I saw a UFO and be absolutely truthful. That doesn't mean I saw an alien space ship, it means I saw a flying object that I couldn't identify. So yes?

Not sure why you would draw this conclusion. Religious writings often have elements of truth or good life lessons, while Internet ratings should be there to protect people from content that they may not wish to see. Perhaps a link or 2 to sites that you feel have been rated wrong?
