Well that would have made some sense. Not Iraq again. Now, not anytime soon. We are already stretched far to thin. You want Iran, you are going to have to support a draft and a two million one. Ready for that? My solution would be to slap them in face. Call their bluff. How? Sell Israel at least 100 F-22 fighter's and put them on the list for first delivery of up to 300 F-35's. Tell Iran they brought this on themselves. Tell them flat out if they continue to have a nuclear program, we won't intervene if Israel decides to launch a first strike. It will be a regional issue and we will not get involved. Tell all the other Arab country's. Iran caused this. Along with militant terrorism. Make it clear we will never again use restraint if attacked like 9/11. Put a permeant strike force of several nuclear submarines on constant patrol in the Indian Ocean, not the Persian Gulf. Their order's to attack any rouge Arab nation that trys to do anything nuclear wise to attack a nieghbor. Including Israel. Make sure they are known to be there. And while there is nothing in the Arab world to match our submarine technology, issue a sink on sight order for anything diesel powered remotely getting close.

Not by the P/C soft azz way were fighting Iraq. If the arm forces was given the green light to do bad things to bad people in Iran. The war would be over in weeks. There's no way we can engage em on the ground. So it would be a special ops, air power show.

I don't think you'll see that. Iran wants us or the Brits to bomb the nuclear plants they cannot pay the Russians for. If we or the Brits destroy those plants, they will claim that we or the Brits need to pay Russia for them. I think they owe the Russians around 5 Billion. We should just wait for the Russians to attack and help them then.

We will go when Israel doesn't step up to the plate. They have to as their national security depends on it. If it happens, our war should be of the limited Nuclear pre-emptive strike kind, followed by memorandum saying, you want more!

It'll be before Bush leaves office. And it won't be invasion, like Iraq. It'll be massive bombing of any and all nuclear sites plus important military assets and factories making weapons.
