There are several alternatives modalities you can try: acupuncture, chiropractic treatment and deep Tissue massage therapy. I've enclosed a link where you can find a chiropractor in your area. You would have to check in the phone book for doctors of acupuncture. To find a massage therapist you can call different chiropractors offices and ask them for a referral.

Physical or emotional? 1 - 800mg Motrin in the AM, maybe one about 9 hours later, but not too often. Last week was bad though, and I won't take the heavy stuff. But I'm all back in place now... and didn't even need one this morning. Lately, reaching out to people has kept the other at bay. That, and working with the idea of starting my own business - my mind is all over the place so no time for slumping. Guess I'll try this for a while... (((Linz)))

I would also want to avoid long-term use of meds, some of which could lead to short-term memory loss. Neurontin for nerve pain caused that with me in just 2 months before I had simple fusion of C5-C6 . If still had that much pain, I would google acupressure. I personally wouldn't want to see the needles sticking on me with acupuncture. Some m.d.'s already have massage therapists in their offices. These are 2 options I would research. Check their credentials.

Chronic pain is a really bad thing. You need to have proper regimentation of regular pain meds, that would prevent pain coming on. Need to do somethings to divert your attention also, since you are disabled, you probably sit home and doodle all the day. There is no variety. Need to go out meet new people and have a variety of things where mind is diverted. check out a pain clinic, first need to take care of the pain and then need to take care of your mentation.

Yes there can be cause of Pain but the feeling of pain comes from mind. You must heared or seen in TV how Moslims overcome the pain of beating their chest and pearcing through parts of their body.I WOULD SUGGEST,PLEASE TRY TO TRAIN YOUR MIND TO BEAR PAIN.The easist way is to divert mind by meditation towards Almighty God and the creation of yourself and all your being by Him.Thank him daily to keep you alive at least. To rely on Pain killers is like Smoking.Leave it.It is not easy but please try and try sincerely and you will succeed at last.Ask the help from God every day.

There is no medicine for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acupuncture is the best treatment for almost all pains.
