you don't get to eat bbq steaks (or anything actually), have sex, or do much of anything. what is the appeal of going there?

i'm not trying to be rude, i just don't understand that if you're going to be somewhere for eternity, wouldn't you want to have something to do while there?

I believe that I will have things to do. I believe I will still miss the people I love who are still on earth, but I will see them when they come to Heaven. Maybe when I get to Heaven, I won't want to eat. Who knows?
I had an identical twin who died. She came to see me in a dream and told me about it. She said it was so beautiful there that she did not want to leave, and she told me that she would not be visiting me again much because of it (she would come to me in dreams and talk to me).
This may sound crazy to some people. I don't care.
I believe it.
She and I were telepathic.
That is the only answer I have for you.

I disagree with Daniel R who said we are spirits only - We are physical beings. "If the eternal heaven is a disembodied state, then our humanity will either be diminished or transcended, and we will never again be ourselves after we die".

Jesus called people by name in the eternal Heaven "Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob" - a name denotes a distinct identity, an individual.
"Never again will they hunger, never again will they thirst." "This doesn't mean that we'll lack an appetite-it means that our desires will be met".

First of all, in heaven (or hell), you will not be in your current body. You will be spirit.

The bible teaches that in heaven there is no male or female, as we are Spirit, not flesh and blood. This should explain why there is no sex.

Secondly, if you make it to heaven then you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Heaven will be no pain, no illness, no tears, no worries, no pressure to earn more money, no worries about anything. But in heaven you will be worshipping the Lord, As for anything else, I cannot say, but I have always believe that heaven was a place of rest and relaxation, and a place where you will have joy for evermore.

As for missing those you loved (who are not there), I believe you will. You MAY even be able to see them in hell, but you will not be able to communicate with them.

When you die there will be two places you can go. heaven or hell. if you like torture, pain, sickness, evil, and the experience of your worst fears, (rape, beatings, pain, etc), then fine, dont serve God and you will find yourself in hell when you die.
But as for me, I would prefer to serve God and be in heaven. When I die, I will no longer suffer pain, heartache, fear, tears, or anything else mankind hates.

I will be a spirit and I will also be completely comforted. For eternity.

Dont be fooled, read your bible,

You will be completely happy. There aren't the same relationships that you have here on earth, like mothers, husbands, etc. You recognize people you know, but you won't miss anyone. You don't need worldly pleasures like food, etc. because you aren't in the world anymore.
