Most likely... Look @ Matthew 6 where Jesus condemns the pious religious leaders of his day for putting on a show of righteousness for the people to see, when actually they were worse off than the people they were supposed to be helping.

Some are - people are people and do things to try to make themselves look better.
Most though, are truly trying to live to the standard that God set.
IMO, the optimal is to try to live that way, but not stand in judgement of others who are not - judgement is God's job, not ours.

The Christian "laws" are just a guideline like the laws cities or states make. Some are broken.

Who is they? The folks that wrote the KJV?
I think thats the way they talked at the time instead of,
"you know you really shouldn't do that"
I'm not seeing anything wrong with that.

I've been around long enough to know that lots of those types are the biggest liars, hypocrites, and perverts anyone will ever see!

I don't think they're really lying to themselves, just not thinking.

At any rate, they aren't Christ-like at all. No love, all law.

"thou shalt not" types? Who are they?

Christians believe that "all have sinned" . . . we are all equal in our dilemma . . .

who is saying they "are better than" others, if not the atheist who says there is no God . . . there is no right or wrong . . . everything I do is right?
