I mean, in Psalm 14:1 it says "The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good." Since we are such corrupt vile fools who never do good according to your Holy Text, why should you disagree with your Bible and approve of our works if we create the cure for Cancer?

they will wait a few years and then claim a christian created it.

or claim that the creator of the cure became christian on his/her deathbed.

i could name quite a few profound atheists who, according to christians, became christian on their deathbed.

Well cures for cancer have been discovered... for almost every kind of cancer as a matter of fact, but the corruption is obvious since these cures cost serious amounts of money. I have Lymphocitic Leukemia and there is a treatment that has an almost 100% chance of a cure.... but insurance doesn't cover it and it costs $3500 a dose and I need 12 doses. A friend of my mother has breast cancer and her cure will cost $1800 a dose. There is absolutely no reason in the world that these cures are this expensive other than the makers want to get rich. I don't know the religions of the scientists who developed these cures, but if they are Christian, you will have to admit that Christians can be smart enough to find cures for Cancer.... if they're Atheist, then you have to admit they're greedy as hell.

In comparison to God and His holiness and righteousness, we are vile, depraved and have no good thing in us. And, yes, only a fool denies the existence of God, this forum reveals that truth. A cure for cancer or any disease is discovered, not created. Man cannot create anything, man only uses the elements that God created to discover cures and such.

What makes you think it will be an atheist who discovers the cure? How presumptuous can one person possibly be? A doctor from India claimed to have the absolute cure for AIDS back in 1993, yet our government refused to let him have its access in American medical research. If that is absolutely true, then I guess the Hindus have one up over all other scientists, as the Indians are extremely intelligent people. However, I don't think their motivation for being such medical geniuses is to convert anyone to the Hindu religion. They're just extremely good-hearted people and kind to humanity. Their altruism is second to none.
You atheists do not have a monopoly on scientific research. Stop acting so damn arrogant. Christians are scientists, too, and have made many valuable contributions to medical science. Stop being such damned obviously self-glorifying hypocrites. It's nauseating. Otherwise, if it's a Christian biochemist who discovers a cure for cancer, you'd deny its benefit simply because you don't want anything to do with one of God's people having discovered it? You'd cut off your nose to spite your face?

Atheists and Christians are not enemies. Psalm 14 is about those who do not seek after God, not about good vs. evil, the writer is saying that all of humanity does not seek after the will of God on their own and that's why there's so much poo in the world. Atheist does not equal good while Christian equals bad or the other way around. If an "atheist" finds the cure for cancer, more power to him/her. I hope someone does find the cure for cancer, be it follower of Christ or not.

Of course I would. That has nothing to do with it.
I have never said that anyone was a corrupt, vile fool.
I feel it is unfair of you to judge me on the basis of the way in which some Christians have treated you.
Would you accept a cure for cancer if it came from a Christian? Or do you hate us all so much that you would reject it?

Same principle....

Yes. No. Whatever. Yes, God gave everyone brains to work out problems to the best of our given abilities. An individual's faith in this matter is irrelevant as we are not born with a religion as we are our brains.

Christians have absolutely no obligation to justify their belief to you. If you're happy being an atheist, enjoy your life and let christians enjoy theirs. And since this is God's universe, you are incapable of creating anything on Earth. When the time comes for a cure for cancer, God will see to its discovery.

"Good" in the Bible means completely good, not mostly good or partly good. It's like saying somebody is good, and meaning they're usally good. No, it means all the way good. Besides, doing good is in the eye of the beholder. If an athiest discovered (not created, it's probably alread out there) a cure for cancer, Christians all around the world would jump all over it, and for good reason. If God wants you to die of cancer, you will, whether or not there is a cure. He could kill you with a bus for all you know. There's no reason to not approve of it, it would save many, many lives (God-willing!).

Yes definitely, God made the atheists too.

:)

Deeds are vile in their heart they are foolish to the things of God. That doesn't mean they are to the ways of this world.

Who says the bibles perfect? Should we really adhere to everything the Bible says? No it was written by men, so it may have its faults, but its better than nothing. Many verses were probably translated incorrectly. And this verse could be one, or it could be referring to their spiritual deeds not their physicall deeds. Its merely saying, that the fool who does not believe in god cannot be saved because his spirtitual progress has no good, because he's not going anywhere..

I hope that makes sense.
