There is an OSx86 project, however, unless you have a high level of expertise, coupled with a lot of time and patience, you're never going to get it to work. It's not simply an exercise in booting to the CD and installing, it's way more involved than that and the failure rate is high. It also helps if your system has similar hardware to that found on a Macintosh. If you still want to attempt it, see this site here:

Mac OS X only runs on Apple hardware because it does not use the standard BIOS for PCs. So the only way to dual boot MS Windows and Mac OS X is to get an iMac or Macbook (with Mac OS X already), and then puts MS Windows on it.

You can use a software called Parallel to run more PCs. Parellel enables you to run another OS on top of Mac OS X (no need to reboot). You can also use vmware.

Note that in the upcoming OS X 10.5 leopard (due in Oct), you can use the built-in Bootcamp to dual boot between OS X and Windows.

No, legal OS X only runs on Apple hardware, but OS X can run Windows XP full on an Intel Mac using Boot Camp (Free) or Parallels ($).

You will need to get a boot-loader. Something that allows you to switch to either during the first part of the boot. I haven't worked a lot with MACs though, so I'm not sure which one you would need. In theory, you want to install Windows, then Linux (which is what MAC-OS is, BSD).

Boot Loader or boot manager will be your keywords for searching.

Mac OS will not work on an Intel PC - you need a Mac. If you want to dual boot anything it will have to be Windoze and Linux.

You cant install OS X on a PC unless you have found some sort of hack that I don't know of.

First, unless you have the hacked version of OSx86 then you can not install Mac OSX on a PC. Period.

Second, you need top first partition your hard drive - split it into two virtual drive first. This means backing up your entire HD first, then partitioning it (because partitioning it will ERASE ALL DATA).

Then you need a boot manager to be able to select which OS you want to boot to. Then you restore the Original content of your Windows HD to the Windows formatted partition, then you install the illegal hacked version of OSx86 on your PC.

Still think its worth it?

EDIT - btw its me that is giving all the thumbs down to everyone that states you can't run Mac OSX on a PC.

Why would you ruin a perfectly good computer with an Apple Operating system?
