On my card, there is a picture of my face, is it generally accepted as Photo ID or not? THanks!

Generally, the only acceptable forms of ID are government-issued -- passports, driver's licenses, military IDs -- that sort of thing. So, unless Visa is a government agency, I think it's wise to carry your DL with you. However, in some instances (and only when specifically stated), your Visa will do for ID.

generally no it is not accepted as a photo id. usually it is a government issued driver license or photo id. they may use the visa card as a second form of id, but not a primary one.

When I used to work in a retail store, they said no, because you can easily get a tiny picture and stick it on the debit card. So no, most Id would be a state or government issued ID, birth certificate, social security card.

For what reason? To purchase alcohol or board an airplane? No. Those need to be state-issued IDs - like a driver's license or non-driver ID.
