Ok, there's the one nation under god ****, sex and evolution being taken out of many schools, and so forth. The reason why I'm mad about even the smallest things (like having god on our money) is because some christians believe they deserve to be treated with more respect than the muslims, atheists, agnostics, etc. And whenever other people try to get as much voice as them, they take it to mean that we are at war and they act as if they are victims.
I seriously think they need to stop their bitching, amen?

Those of you clamoring for separation of church and state, do you even know what it really means, as it was written by our forefathers?

And what rock are you living under?

The Pledge (and "in God we trust") is being taken OUT of schools.

More public schools are teaching evolution.

Sex ed is being pushed at kids all over the country, and in some schools without any parental input or notification.

Christians aren't looking to be treated with more respect. We only want EQUAL respect.

The derogatory comments that are made against Christianity and our God would never fly if the same were made about Islam and Allah. (Remember the hoopla over the Muslim comics?) The amount of hate speech against Christians is incredible! But bashing Christianity appears to be the last "acceptable" form of bigotry.

what is a conservative Christian?

Seems to me that if one has come to know God through Jesus by grace and has decided to follow Him according to His Word, striving with all one's heart to live a good and upright life in right standing with God, then one is labeled as a conservative Christian!
So be it then: after all, Jesus said that blessed are we if we suffer because of Him!! What an honour to be ridiculed on His behalf! What a joy to know HIm as a loving, kind Friend and Saviour. And: we have been commissioned by Christ to preach this gospel unto all men...whether you like it or not!!!
We are the difference between you and eternal...

It's nice to see that none of the current crop of presidential candidates is nearly as openly religious as the current Prez.

I wouldn't be terribly upset at any of them winning, with the exception of Romney.

I'm a little suspicious of some of the anti-trade policies espoused by Clinton and Obama, which is why I support Richardson.

So, because some Christians believe something, the country's been taken over by conservative Christians?!? I'm not following the logic here.

I don't know any Christians who think they should be treated better than other people. That goes against everything Jesus said and was. We love and respect all people and try to serve them before ourselves. And we're not all fundamentalists.

Yes, when the president of the United States meets with the likes of James Dobson before appointing a Supreme Court nominee...we have issues.

Our President sets policy, based on advised of these right-wing nuts.

We need separation of church and state.

It has not been taken over. That's not for lack of trying however. They will continue to try and (hopefully) continue to be advised that they can not circumvent the Constitution.
