of course not. But you can see the effects of the wind. It's kind of like God. We can't see Him but we can see the effects of God (i.e. Hurricane Katrina). For this reason, many people believe in God.

I wasn't saying that Hurricane Katrina WAS/IS God I'm just giving you an example of some of the powers that God has over Human beings.
After all humans couldn't have made the hurricane.

Yeah.. Katrina was god's doing.. So are the waves in the ocean (the moon's gravitational pull on the earth), the sun rising and falling in the sky (earth rotation), lightning (friction between clouds) and thunder and other occurrences we have no idea how to explain..
Oh.. wait a minute.. We DO have a way of explaining them.. just like Katrina.. and wind blowing.
And if people believe in god because of Katrina, those people are idiots.

Hurricane Katrina wasn't an effect of god, but of the sun heating up the atmosphere and causing temperature variations, which in turn create air currents. The physics of meteorology has been studied for a century or more and is well-documented and understood.
Your god is not.

Katrina- mmmmm... i think this is not such a good category to put god into...
I can see the wind when i look at the trees and the leaves sway back and forth- godlike i suppose
I can see the wind when the birds fly and soar through the air- godlike i suppose
I can see the wind when my hair blows ever so gentle and it whips my neck with a tickle- godlike i suppose
Wait is god why i should believe in the wind or the wind why i should belive in god?!?!?!?!
Ack, forget it... i'm agnostic anyway, but thank god we get to feel the wind too!

That's lazy, woolly thinking. Katrina was no more caused by your god than it was by me.
If you're going to make such assertions at least do a little research into the phenomena, and science in general. Then if you truly believe your God did it then you will have something to back it up. Though of course you will find no such evidence whatsoever.
But just because you can't see something don't default to, 'God did it'. It makes you seem poorly educated and very gullible.

The word states it is like the Holy spirit. You see the effects in a christian ;but you know not where it comes from it is like the wind.. God did not bring the effects of a hurricane of earth quick or global warming...it is the greed and sin of man....God does not bring about change through pain and suffering. We are a dis-obediant peoples...and this is what Satan does if allowed. He whispers to the earth just like he whisper to us. God limits his destruction.

Actually using a wind tunnel you can see the wind and aerodynamics of anything you put in its path.
Hurricane Katrina?? That suggests a very cruel deity considering all the pain and torment those poor people went through.

Gazoo usually has the best answer to this.
I can measure the wind with a wind sock and weather vane. I can harness the winds power with a sail or a kite. If I remove air from a living thing's environment, I will see it suffocate. Barometric pressure measures air. I can watch the weather to get predictions of wind speeds.
Can you do any of that with God?

We can feel the wind. We can measure the wind. We can track the wind. We see the effects of the wind. We can do none of this with god. And if you say you can that is just a persons opinion of there faith. Their is no way to measure or prove it. Unlike the wind.
