I've had a goatee for a while now and I think I want to shave it off. In general what looks better, facial hair or clean shaven?

It depends on the facial structure. I've known a couple guys who look better with facial hair because their features aren't very strong. At the same time, I've known men who look better clean shaven.

It depends on the guy. Usually guys with narrower faces look better with a goatee or a beard. Facial hair usually looks nice on guys who are well kept and don't use the hair to look all gross. Clean shaven is also nice though because it tends to make guys look younger.

This is totally dependent on the face behind the hair.
Some guys look very handsome with well-groomed facial hair. Example: men with recessed chins or poorly defined necklines often benefit from a goatee.
The most important thing is that if you are going to have facial hair - goatee, mustache or full beard - you need to keep it well-groomed. Keep it short enough that it doesn't look scruffy and, more important, so it doesn't get in the way when you're looking to kiss your lady. ;-)

I hate mustaches. They remind me of dirty old men. AS far as being turned on goatees are tolerable, but that's it. I prefer clean shaven though

actually i don't like goatees at all, it's either clean shaven, or some guy look really sexy when they leave their facial hair grow"alittle bit" and homogenously

Honestly, not to be rude or a butt-head, but I think you should shave it off, unless you like it the way it is, you don't allways have to do what other people say, we can't force you to do anything. Also, people should really look inside you not just the outside. I mean, do what makes you feel right and if that's jumping into a pit of lava-then you jump into that lava.

If the guy has the right face for it I prefer a goatee . . . but some guys just don't have the right face and try it anyway . . . really can't tell you without seeing what you look like!!

I like it but not that much hair; just a little hair on the chin is cute.
