Since I was little, my favourite(s) were Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego, because my Sunday School teacher told us that when he was little he used to call them Shake-A-Bed, Make-A-Bed, and To-Bed-You-Go!!!

I like David because He was very sorry and repented so much when He Sinned. He was never the type to throw the blame on someone else, He confessed before God for everything He did. That pleased God so much, He called David "the Apple Of His Eye".

I like a lot of them... very difficult to pick.
I like Elisha quite a bit... and, the shunammite woman (II Kings 4)
I like that he helped the shunammite woman... several times. He interceeded with God that she have a son - and she did, he raised the son from the dead, he advised her and her family to leave in a time of crisis (a 7 year famine), and then helped her get her home back when she returned.
I like her because she has the heart of a servant. She set up a special room for the prophet, in her home, to help him in his ministry.
I think the story is a great example of people serving one another, and having a giving, sacrificial heart.

The thief that was crucified with Jesus. When in good faith, he ask God to remember him when he entered into the kingdom. And Jesus telling him that he would. It just goes to show us how divine God's mercy really is. No matter what we do if we are willing to repent, even in the last few moments of our life he is gracious enough to forgive us. Job. He was an awesome example and did a great job at "making a reply to the one that is taunting me (God)" and he helped prove Satan a liar.
He went through sooooo much and remained faithful. He gained more in return but he did it all not expecting anything in return.
I like to refer to people from the Bible as just that: people, prophets, etc. I usually refrain from saying character because that seems to imply that they were not real people.
Interesting question you posted.

Ruth- mainly because of the where I am in life right now. I have recently been married and I admire her for her courage and sacrifice to her recently deceased husband. I hope that I can have that kind of relationship to his mother and other family members.

Most definitely ..Jesus Christ! But humanly speaking..I liked Paul. He was man that was like many of us today. Growing up in one type of belief system, then finding out the TRUTH & not being afraid to tell others about what he knew...even though he went through so much agony & pain...he stood fast in the faith because he KNEW it was the TRUTH!

What an EXCELLENT question!!!
I thought about it and then it occurred to me that I should let God tell you about one of HIS favorite characters.
Please check out all these verses.
In John 1:11 John writes about YOU when he said ..."as many as received Him He gave the right to become children of God..."
Next look at what Isaiah said in Isa. 62:5 ..."And as a new husband rejoices over the bride, so your God will rejoice over YOU"
Now check out Zephaniah 3:17 where he writes "...He (God) will exult over YOU with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over YOU with singing"
Finally, look again at the prophet Isaiah where he records these words that God has to say to YOU specifically, ..." Behold, I have inscribed YOU on the palms of My hands."
Isa.49:16.
After all this, it looks like YOU are one of God's favorite Bible characters!!!
He just wanted YOU to know how much He loves YOU.

Besides Jesus, Paul is my main man. After spending most of eternity with Dad, Jesus and Spirit, I am going to spend time with my brother as there is a lot he has to tell. He was, next to Christ, the main character in the development of the Church as we know it. Thank God for his obedience to Jesus, or else we, the Gentiles, would have been ignorant of God's grace!!!
Viva Paul!!

I'm agnostic but if i were to write a play which by the way i would call it "The Bible: The real deal or control appeal" I would like to play Judas...he was the bad azz of disciple's
Judas was one of Jesus' twelve disciples and was responsible for the funds for the group. When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem at the end of his ministry, Judas went to the chief priests and offered to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. He led a crowd to Gethsemane, and identified Jesus with a kiss, thereby delivering Jesus into their hands. After Jesus was condemned to death, Judas regretted his act, threw the pieces of silver down in the Temple, and went and hanged himself. Another account says that Judas fell and burst open.
Now thats one bad azz
