Approximately $100,000 from conception to high school graduation. You have to think of the whole cost, not just pregnancy.

I don't know that there is a definite answer to this. There are many ways to make this a very expensive Or a frugal way to make it not so bad. The cost over time would floor many people and maybe even change their minds because it sounds like so much.
The truth is it isn't cost that happens all at once and if you have family and friends helping you out either with hand me downs or a baby shower it the initial cost isn't so bad.
It can cost up to $200,000 from birth to 18. Though it should be somewhat of a consideration it shouldn't be the only factor on whether you have a child.

Ok the cost of having a child is very expensive.
Delivery- $1,000-$10,000 depending on what kind of delivery you have. And if you have insurance or not
Dr Visits- $15-$25 co-pay with insurance
Baby Supplies~ $100-$500 a month (Diapers, Wipes, Formula unless you breast feed, baby food once they get old enough to eat food)
Clothes~ Varies were you shop
No Sleep, feedings, etc.
I have 2 kids 1 7 year old girl and a 1 year old boy. I love my kids to death. But the cost of having a baby is outrageous. But if you wait until you can afford it you will never have a kid because nobody can really ever afford their kids unless they are a millionaire. You just fit stuff into your budget as it comes up.

With my insurance, the actual delivery was free. I had a c-section and stayed in the hospital 6 days. (I have good insurance!)
If you are speaking about the cost over a lifetime I would estimate $1,000,000 if you consider the cost of housing, food, clothes, medical care, entertainment, gifts, a car when they are 16, college education and wedding if it is a girl. I bet I am guessing way under too.

Even with my insurance and I had good insurance it was over $2,000 that wasn't covered just for the hospital alone not including the co pays for the 20+ doctors appointments while I was pregnant...and the money had to be paid up in full 1 month before my due date!!!

The cost for my vaginal birth was $5,000. My insurance did not cover $1,500. I paid $400 for the pediatrician at the birth which was not covered and a $20 copay for each doctor visit. I have a great, well known national insurance. I'm not sure how other carriers are.

What part are you referring to. If you mean just the hospital stay and birth it will vary based on your insurance, or if you are paying, where you go and what doctors are there. If you mean from birth to 18 then it can be quite substantial. Somewhere in the $100,000 to $200,000 range mostly dependent on your income. But again there are so many variables to this question that it is impossible to answer with any certainty.

alot. I spent $210 in copays for prenatal care. $250 for the delievery fee. $15 copay with every doctors visit for the baby. $100 a month on formula. I can go on and on. You have to buy clothes every 3 months until they are a year. You have diapers, cribs, swings, bottles, diaper bags, books, socks, saop, food, ect...

Not much at all about $75. $10 for flowers, $20 for a movie, $30 for dinner and a $15 bottle of wine. Poof, you're having a baby.
