It flows so well that by the time its ready for the bride, she comes down the aisle at the climax of the song. Its classical. Mozart or some other.

I am getting married in October and I am wondering the same thing! Haha. I have a harp player at my ceremony site and I have singer for Ave Maria. I think I am going to use this song for the bridal party entrance and then the bride's entrance at the climax. Prefect length for my 6 pairs of groomsmen and bridesmaids. It's a traditional peice yet not ordinary for the bridal walk.! Forget this canon in d thing, everyone uses it.Pick something new !! :) Good luck!!

Canon in D by Pachelbel is commonly used as a wedding processional, and may be the piece you are looking for. When played by a string quartet, each instrument comes in one at a time, in canon (like a round), and the music builds up gradually. This song is good for processionals, because there are many places in the song where the instrumentalists can stop on a pleasing and final-sounding D Major chord when you arrive at the front of the congregation.

Handels Air on a G string is used a lot. Also he has an entire line of Air songs if you aren't particularly fond of G chord. That is probably the most common.

Ode to Joy (beethoven) is one the top 3 list though. It might be what you are thinking of.

I've also heard Pachobel Cannon in D a lot as well like the other poster said--but if that's not it, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring is common. One of those has to be the one you are thinking of.

Ave Maria or Cannon D are beautiful songs. I just got married and I didn't walk down to the traditional song here comes the bride. We chose From this Moment, by Shania Twain and Brian White, just the music not the words and it was beautiful

For my wedding ceremony, i'm using Largo from wintry climate of Vivaldi's The 4 Seasons. it fairly is a suitable violin piece and in case you do not choose for to hire instrumentalists, it rather is on a million wedding ceremony CDs. Canon in D is likewise suitable and broadly everyday. superb desires!

a friend of mine used the opening theme song from the Young and the Restless for her wedding party to walk down the aisle to. It was creative, flowed well, and it's a pretty tune.
