Is there a difference between female deity/guru & male deity/guru for paduka puja? If yes, I want to know for a female guru (Amma)

In Tretayuga, Bhagwan Sri Ramachandra lovingly blessed his brother, Bharata with his Padukas. These Padukas, through the 14 years of Sri Rama's exile, reminded Bharata of Sri Rama's ideals and symbolised Rama's presence. The Padukas thus helped Bharata to step into a life of fullness.

Can we too, hold our Param Pujya Gurudev in our vision through Paduka Puja? Yes, we can.

Pada Puja can be performed for any Guru Male or Female personally or to the Portrait or Photo of the Gurudev. According to India's venerable rishis, cosmic energy flows through the human body, entering through the crown chakra and leaving through the feet. This is the reason why so much importance is given to the holy lotus feet of God, one's guru, or any holy person. On Guru Purnima, the guru becomes a channel for tremendous cosmic energy, which is available to all through the guru's lotus feet. Thus, Guru Purnima is the most auspicious day for performing pada puja, or the worship of the lotus feet. Cosmic energy flows from the guru's feet in abundance on this special day.

Pada Puja contains many proceedures like. Washing the feet, adoning or decorating the feet with sandal, kukkum etc. and doing puja with flowers and or with coins of gold or silver as the case may be. There are different manthras for different dieties or gurus and it can be ascertained from the person or Pandit who will conduct the puja. Finally aarthi and Prasad distribution is done.
