Does praying help,,,? What if Some Big Bad Wolf came along and wanted to kill you. Would you drop to your knees and start prEying (bagging) for your life, and you died anyway...
So the Big Bad Wolf (Lucifer) just had an easy kill... Now if you stand and fight, you might just kill the wolf of at least wound him before he moves unto another sheep. Just enough so they can take down the Big Bad Wolf. Sorry about the Riddles.
Just think about it,,, Would you lay there and die or would God want you to fight evil and have a better chance of living?

Love that question. You must fight the big bad wolf on his ground be it spiritual or physical, both are often involved. There are boundary's that must be set. If you had promised the Lord not to kill the big bad wolf when he came at you, then your only option would be prayer and trust God to slay the wolf. If you did not covenant with the lord not to slay the wolf he may be using you to save his sheep and slay the wolf.

Prayer keeps you on the alert. So that you'll know when the Big bad wolf is coming. Prayer is not just talking to God..its GOD Talking to you too:)
Prayer is a two way conversation. Through prayer my grandfather was made aware that there was a robber prowling.. he was a night watchman. While reading the word and praying .. the Lord gave him a sense that danger was near and he was able to scare the villan away.
So yes.. prayer sure does work. Prayer means " Lord I can't do it..but You can... "
Sometimes we are in no place to defend ourselves.. but praying brings comfort and strength to endure anything.
Stephen called upon the Name of the Lord when He was being stoned and was his face shorn the GLory of God..
The brothers and sisters who were eaten by lions druing the Roman times sang and prayed as they were devoured, but its their faith that stands.. the body fails.. but the spirit is eternal.

hm good question. but the question should be - What would YOU do if the Big Bad Wolf came? a natural human reaction would be to fight it off. but if you have faith in Christ and you trust that he will keep you safe from the Big Bad Wolf then you'll live where as if you fought you have a chance of dying. it's all according to the plan Christ has for you and what he'd like to do THROUGH you. so praying would be GOOD - and it totally works! :)

Praying is for humble communing with a higher source. We usually pray for wisdom and strength of morals. Help in our lives come in the form of wisdom or enlightenment or dealing with issues in our lives. Prayer is always good in all its manifestations. It is not for immediate safety or requesting ice cream cones. If you prayed every day and had peace within yourself you would be ready for the bad things that happen in life and except them better. The wolf senario calls for action not prayer! Prayer is for bettering yourself not protecting yourself from worldly threats. The sooner you kill that wolf the sooner you can get back to prayer.

Does praying help? Of course.
Whether he is called the big bad wolf,
the lion that goes around seeking those he may devour,
or any of the several names he carries,
Pray in all things, God says.
He also tells us all could be falling down around us, but if we are saved through our belief in Christ, we have nothing to worry about.
My prayer would be that I would do the right thing, and look to God for guidance and direction that very moment.
How about you?

No, idiots, praying to an imaginary friend doesn't work.
I had an arguement / discussion with my (real) friend the other day and proved it.
I said a prayer for a chocolate covered ice cream cone right there on the spot, right in front of them.
I got nothing!
Not really shocking, but absolute proof...

I personally would pray for protection, pray that the blood of CHRIST covers you in all aspects. I would fight, never lay down when GOD brings forth a challenge, fight head on you have a better chance of survival then if you just give up. GOD will fight that battle if you put your faith in HIM.

Some say God helps them who help themselves and there is a little bit of truth to it, those with faith do use what God has provided to said their situation it does not negate the power of prayer it is through prayer we are strengthened. Nothing wrong with being in communication with God when we fight and knowing it is God who delivers us.

Praying works if you belive it does. Therein lies the truth about praying, that you have a preconcieved notion before anything doesn't happen.
